David G. Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) Great build, very eye-catching! I wish there were more of these old wagon kits. I also like the "Dorothy" name, it fits the car's character. Did you pick the name or is that what the kit's called my the manufacturer? Edited April 4, 2010 by David G.
zelkam Posted April 4, 2010 Author Posted April 4, 2010 Hi, thank you for the comments. Why Dorothy I copy an existing model created by the workshop Oz'Customs located in California. As soon as I saw this car, I'm falling in love. I like station Wagon! I use the same techniques of bodywork. Here are photos of the real I order parts from the resin and buy modelhaus R & R, which required a lot of work. the bumpers have been repainted to the alclaad. modelhaus wheel paint treatment with a dilute, with and without Here is the link http://public.fotki.com/Zelkam/stock/1957-buick-caballer/

Kombi Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Hi, thank you for the comments. Why Dorothy I copy an existing model created by the workshop Oz'Customs located in California. As soon as I saw this car, I'm falling in love. I like station Wagon! That is definitely one beautiful kustom wagon and your reproduction of it is spot on. Excellent work!

Railfreak78 Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I am a HUGE fan of wagons (almost the only cars that get their pictures taken by me at car shows) and Buicks from late 40's to 70's. This makes me Very Happy Amazing build, Great topic and all around very well done. I tip my hat to you
Tony T Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Great build! I love the styling on that wagon. Great lines. You did a wonderful job of reproducing it in scale.
speedy5963 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Nice build, lots of work that really paid off!
Blake Rogers Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 DUDE.............that is AMAZING i love that mag as well great work any engine shots???
charlie8575 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 The Packard taillights really look nice on the Buick. Nice touch. Well-done overall. Charlie Larkin
Harold Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Wow, that is gorgeous. To me, this is the true essence of a custom car. The changes are so subtle that it takes a while to realize something has actually been altered. I love the liftgate and the color combo. Those Packard tail lights are nice, too, though I always loved the stock lights and housings (each one carrying enough chrome, to paraphrase Tom McCahill, "to throw Sputnik off course".). Beautiful .
Jon Cole Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Must agree, this is nice! If I saw it last year, I must have forgot. But then again, I can't remember... this morning.
Danno Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Dittos. Don't know how I missed it before, but I'm glad I saw it now. Sweeeeet!!
