Romell R Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Heres the seats painted up and ready for a fresh seatbelt treatment Here the door jams are ready for primer As you can see I got a nice tight fit for the doors and if you look closely you can see that the door on the opposite side fits nice and snug.
Romell R Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Heres a finished door , the inside of the trunk lid ( i had to do the bracing) , and the trunk hinge. this is how the hinge with attach to the lid.... just showing those good lines again.....
mind-9 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 GREAT man this is one bad Chevelle and love the tip's you are giving.
supermike Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 love the car! I wouldn't be surprised if it would start when you are finished.
Romell R Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Romell, just some constructive criticism here the roll bar's main hoop and rear support bars look too thick to me. i know that you made these pieces from metal but if it were me i'd have made it from Evergreen rod. i know you like working with metal but i think you would have much better results if you switched to plastic and made a fresh roll bar assembly. i've made quite a few of them, if you want some tips and advice on going that route shoot me a PM. Dave Thx dave and I have considered remaking the rollcage, I have made them before from evergreen also, I realy just wanted to try my hand at making one from steel. And youre right it is too thick. I may pull out the ol styrene and go back to the old way of doin em. Thx again for the watchful eye.
Romell R Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) I got the body primed up and im ready to mask the flames and get the center stripe (for the twotone) done I hope you enjoy...... here you see the undercarrage Edited June 14, 2010 by Aftashox

David G. Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Wow, you've been busy! The seat treatment looks cool, I can't wait to see the rest of it! What did you use for the door hinges? It looks like a wire and tube setup.
