LDO Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I love the fin treatment. I can only imagine that it will get two pairs of larger round taillights in that custom back end. Very nice. Testors will have to repop that Chezoom one of these days. They're all getting cannibalized for the roof.
Modlbldr Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I'm in LOVE with it and it's not even finished! Great work. Later-
W-409 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 That's looking cool! Nice job on the modifications. I'm digging those fender skirts.
Peter Lombardo Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I have said it before, and I will say it again, you could put the Chezoom roof on a AMC Pacer and it would look good. Love the direction this is going...the fender skirts fit it perfectly.......this is absolute sweetness!!!
David G. Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 That looks mega cool. I picked one of those up in glue-bomb form at the last swap meet and was wondering what I was going to do with it. Now I have some ideas! Thanks! Tail Fins Rock!
ratrodder Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 One bad Cad!! Chopper you are awesome. What's Bill going to build to compare?
chopper Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 One bad Cad!! Chopper you are awesome. What's Bill going to build to compare? well doug i don't know yet. i'll have to wait to find out.
chopper Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Lee I like that fin setup too & the entire rear end. I doubt we'll see Testors reissue that kit. Lindberg was going to, but with them closing down, I wouldn't hold my breath, unless someone buys/leases the tooling & gets going again. BTW Chopper, just FYI, at some point I'm going to "steal" your idea that I see in the background, that 65 Continental kit turned from a 4 door to a 2 door with that 66 Galaxie roof, I really like that one & feel the urge to try that design out myself!! go ahead man be my guess, i need to get it started anyway, but as you know i got alot of projects in the works in front of me . btw by the time these were posted it's in primer and getting closer to paint.(the caddy)
chopper Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 this project started and designed by jim hill of dayton, ohio but he lost interest and i ask him if i could finish it and said yes so i couldn't wait to get home with it. since these photos were posted i got it in primer and almost ready for paint. it will have an interior with just some miner work. hopefully it will get finished in time for the louisville show in july.
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 That is an awesome start, Dave. May I ask what you used for the fender skirts, and rollpans?
Modellpularn Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Cool project! I have one in the works that's almost stock, except for another roof. Not Chezoom... Looks like I have to make some "minor adjustments"....
LO51 MERC Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Hi Ted, I love this Caddy, and I know we'll all be slack jawed when you get it finished. Will you please tell us what was done to the rear three quarters of the hood? If ?I had that Caddy kit I'd......... Gary
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 This is begining to look sweet, makes me wish I saved my cruz'r skirts for my 59. great start...
