jevries Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Hi guys, I've been crazy busy lately so almost no time to be online. I finaly got a chance to finish all the resin parts for my full function RC '87 Monte Carlo LS.A good friend of mine recently bought a Chevy Monte Carlo LS and he wanted to build one in miniature. All the parts match the original and especially the grill was hard to build and Im proud of the result. First time I worked with crystal clear resin and although it is more difficult to work with compared to regular resin the lenses came out perfect. Tiny pieces of styrene to construct the LS grill. First stage cast of the grill piece. Finished molds Finished front clip including the emblem on the grill. Created seperate head light casing casted in black resin and lenses using crystal clear resin. The mirrors and rear lights also differ from the standard Monte Carlo SS kit. The MC Aerocoupe offered the right parts and I also casted these. Next is creating the working chassis and adding a hopping mechanism.
charlie8575 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Excellent job! Are you interested in making those for sale? If so, I'd be very interested in buying a conversion. Charlie Larkin

Casey Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Wow, I don't know how I missed this, but with all the interest in a Olds G-body kit, I figure someone else might appreciate the bump.
