Dr. Cranky Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Well, maybe not explode, but certainly get the creative juices flowing. It's in German, but the pictures tell all the stories. This is what the very best of a Roadside Attraction Diorama (RAD) has to offer . . . enjoy. http://www.buntbahn.de/modellbau/viewtopic.php?t=9628 Thanks to WESTLAKE FORUM for the original post. Yours, D. Cranky.

Chuck Most Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Shame my brain exploded back in 1997, so this has no effect on me whatsoever! Still, it does give me some ideas...
Dr. Cranky Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 Glad you fellas are enjoying it. When I look at a model like that I just lose my mind thinking of all the builds I want to do, and the many that are unfinished. Sometimes I get to feel down because there are some models you just can't top . . .
impcon Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 That is incredible!!!!!!!!!! I wonder where he got that bus - or did he scratch build it too? Judging by the workmanship on that diorama, he likely did build it. *sighs* All I can say is - Pretty Cool!!!
bigmikevee Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Hey Cranky, Thanks for posting something different from around the world. As far as not topping, I looked at your Fotki albums this week, and you've got nothing to worry about. Now, if I could just figure out what they are saying....... Jon Cole Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 What an awesome piece of junk! I ran the text from the first pic through a translation service... Hello Buntbahner, I would like to present you today a small Diorama on a scale 1:22.5. Following a proposal of Tom Yorke, which into a amerikaischen high-speed lunch (Diner) converted a streetcar car of LGB Gnomy, a cast-off bus one converted here. The Etablissement is called, likewise following Tom Yorke, " Rosita' s (Diner) ". Built the Diorama my brother Jürgen, a highly gifted model construction amateur. Its signature is in the left rear corner, whereby also the cigarette and the Kaffeepott are on all to its modules. The Diorama has a size of 25 times 38 cm. There bus model instead of from the E-bay, the guest of Preiser. The remainder is built. Looks Hatty The back .die chocolate side

True, but Japanese to English is an acid trip. And thanks DamnCranky for the link. Excellent diorama. And your article in the current issue of Model Cars is great too.
