All my prayers and support are with you. I've been married for 34 years and don't want to think about how tough that situation would be.

I'm not really a religious guy, but I will certainly keep you and your wife in my thoughts, and hope that she recovers quickly. There's no good time for something like this to happen anyway, but considering your recent surgery, it's got to be way more rough.

Well said, George. I didn't even notice that until you brought it up, and I agree with your statement 100%. If I was in Johnny's situation just getting over surgery himself, then having this happen to his wife, I know it would comfort me knowing I had so many people, no wait, friends that I don't even know thinking about and praying for me and my family. I'm sure Johnny feels the same as I would.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers guys! It really helps to have people that will support a stranger when the need arises! Like having one heck of a big family!

Update. She has shown signs of a good recovery! We had her up and walking today! She has regained some strength in her right side and the doctor feels she should get back almost all! He did say though she may not get 100% of her right hand back. (she is a lefty)

The speech center is the hardest hit thing and they said she should regain most of her ability back but with a slower speech pattern and maybe some slurring that may or may not go away with time!

They still cannot pinpoint the cause and say they probably never will. But they say she has a good prognosis and they feel this is a one time incident!

I hope so for her!

I have been showing her the posts from all my friends at all my sites I frequent and it has really boosted her moral and I believe has helped her win this fight!

Thanks for the update, Johnny! I'm very happy to hear you had good news. You will stay in my thoughts and prayers.

By the way, and I can't believe I never noticed it before, but by the phase in your sig line, are you one of my brothers of the superslab?

Yep, I'm a brother trucker! Had a little over 1.5 million unticketed/no accident miles when I got hurt and had to retire!

I really miss it sometimes.

I kinda figured you might be! :D I, too, am out of the truck now, I started having problems with high blood pressure last June and lost my job, probably because of the blood pressure issue. I haven't been on the road since, just working on the little ones! :D I had about 1.5 million in the seat, but not so lucky on the unticketed part, thanks to those fine Ohio State Troppers!

Anyway, not to take this thread off the wrong exit, I'm still thinking and praying for you and yours, and if you want, feel free to PM me, Johnny. We'll sit around the internet truck stop counter and tell some trucker stories!

Johnny, I am sorry that I missed this post the other day....thank God your wife is doing better...good to hear the signs of recovery. My wife and I are married 35 years this summer and if anything happened to her, I don't know what would happen to me, so I am sure those thoughts are the same ones you had. Again, thank God she is improving.
