Another nicely put together issue. Love that 66 Chevelle! Thanks guys!

I was gonna brag about getting it in the Berkshires 3 days before NH, but I see you have Conn as a location now ... did you move to my home state?? :D

Sorry about that , Terry. Don't know where I hooked NH with your name, but I was at least in New England! :)

'62 .. I was still a junior in East Hartford High School.

Holy cow! I thought I was old. In 1962 I graduated grade school.

We're NOT old ... just on our 2nd childhood ... and it's good! :)

I received my copy yesterday too! My good friend, Dave Morton, called me up and left me somewhat of a cryptic message. Once we were able to talk, he explained that the latest issue is out and that my Chevelle was not only one of the features, but was sitting on the cover to boot.

My issue usually gets there a couple days after Dave's, so we thought that I might need to stop by MLHS and get a copy. Unfortunately, by the time I got there, I forgot that my wife had both my debit and credit cards from grocery shopping the day earlier. Also unfortunate, MLHS wouldn't let me take an issue home with me and said they would hold it until the next today. However, fortunately, when I got home, there sitting on the kitchen counter top was my mailed copy.

I Sent Gregg and Harry PMs thanking them for the feature on my '66 Chevelle, but would like to thank them, publically, on the forum too. Again, Gregg and Harry, thanks for the feature!

I admit that I don't like rods at all, but my question is, how do you determine the type of car that goes on the cover? While there are many fine touches on the cover car, it still looks like a toy to me, and I think the cover should be reserved for builds that make you say, "Can you believe it's a model??!!"'

I try to pick a wide variety of models... stock ("Big Scale Beauty" Corvette from last issue), hot rods, customs, competition, etc. My intent is to mix it up as much as I can, and give as many different kinds of subject matter a spot on the cover as possible.

If you look back at the previous year or two's worth of covers, you'll find that there are a wide variety of models that made the cover... and that was not an accident. B)

A secondary issue is... what exactly do I have on hand at any given time? We can only feature what gets submitted, and sometimes I'll have a lot of things in one or two categories and none in others. Personally I would like to put a classic on the cover, but aside from Ismael Gonzalez' '33 Chrysler Indy Pace Car from quite a while ago, I haven't gotten anything in that category.

Is this the issue that covers the NNL East show at Wayne? Just wanted to know some of the names from the guys in the forum that had their photos taken. I am just hoping that one day I can make it.

No Kevin, that was the previous issue number 150, the May/June issue. I do have some names from the forum like Peter Lombardo, Gary Kulchock, Marcos Cruz and others that had their models featured.
