John E. Bowers Jr.
Loving that Camaro John! I almost bought an SS like that about 10 years ago. They are unmistakable when you see them coming down the street. Does it have houndstooth interior? Hi Dave! No, the seats are the standard perforated leather, and they have deteriorated badly in the last few years. But yeah, there is no way to sneak around town in one of these! charlie8575
The Cadillac CTS & STS are both RWD cars too. I guess the CTS technically isn't full size, but it's a decent sized 4-door. Gee, you're right. I completely forgot about them. Apologies to Cadillac. A CTS wagon is something I wouldn't mind one bit. Guest Johnny
I helped put together several 1:1's of the 40 Ford Bug conversions. (minus the wood) Te guy I worked for had a beauitiful one in Plum Crazy sitting in the parts yars that is now rotting into the ground! Was his wife's andhe managed to get it in the divorce settlement and immediatly put in in the swampiest section of the yard! Never removed or sold a part off of it! She tried everything she could to try and get it back including offering 4 times what it was worth! But there it still sets! sobpinstriping
My dailly driver,1965 f-100, my dad gave me the truck after it sat for around 4 years because the clutch was bad. I put a new clutch in and drove it for a while, i ended up swapping a 302 ci. with a c4 tranny. This is the most recent picture of her, just got the frond primered. Someday it will be lower and have a panel paint job in the style of larry watson. cheers mat
David G.
Most of you have seen my toy by now. A couple of you have even seen it in person! But here it is again. I recently replaced a cracked "eye pod." There's a slightly tweaked 350 under the hood. Swapped the stock 2bbl carb for a 4bbl Quadrajet. Added an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. Dual Flowmaster exhaust. High performance air cleaner. HEI distributor, plugs and wires. I figure it's pushing more than 300 HP now. A bit of an improvement over the stock 240 HP it started with! It'll finish a quarter in about 15 seconds at 75mph in second gear.
Jason Vandergriff
Not 100% sure, but I think he may be referring to this kit... I started with a very bad resin copy of it but yeah mines similar.
Modellpularn
Here's my daily driver, a '00 Volvo V70 GLT, auto trans. Smooth ride compared to the old 240....! Pic was taken late December, just some day before I bought it. And here's my toy; '72 El Camino. Has a 350/350 that needs to come out this winter. I plan to get some aluminum heads, or maybe even the complete package with heads, intake and matched cam from Edelbrock. slant6
I had five 944's and they ARE reliable. Never seen the paint do that, though. How many miles on that puppy? Nice thing is the galvanized body keeps most rust away. Hey a front Porch!!! I have seem them peel like that but it's only a few colors that do! If everything is right with one it is a great little car. But if not they are a pain in the butt to work on and expensive as heck when something breaks! Rather have a 914 than one of those! 911 would be even better but cost too much! Unfortunately, this car didnt work out. My only real requirement is that I can drive the car as soon as I buy it, and that wasnt gonna happen here. The owner said it would pass inspection, but needed a water pump before I could drive it. He sounded a little sketchy to me, so I had to walk away.
Dragline
Here is my everyday driver. 2000 Chevy Cavalier SS. Great tunes and some extra get up and go with aftermarket wheels, chip, exhaust and throttle body. Im going to keep it when I get a new car and install a supercharged Ecotech to embarass some Tuners. It gives em a run as it is. Bob
Darin Bastedo
This is my ride, a 2008 Jeep patriot, and I love it. It gets about 22-25 MPG around town and 35mpg on the highway. 0-60 in 9sec. and has 4wd, CVT, Traction control, stability control, variable valve timing similar to the Honda Vtec. It has served me well and has over 60k miles on it already. My other ride which get a lot less use, but also has treated me well, is my 1991 Dodge Dakota
Sport Suburban
Here is my project car that is still my daily driver. I drive this to and from work. This is one of my favorite pics but it is over 10 years old. It is now a green primer. Someday I will get to the paint job. It has a 440 with aluminum heads and M1 intake, 727 with a TCI street fighter valve body and 2500 stall converter, 3:55 sure grip 8 3/4 rear. Mosier axles and 4 wheel disc brakes. It handles very well with the custom sway bars front and rear. She gets tons of attention on the road and is fun to drive. I have a 2nd one for parts as they are very rare. It's a 71 Plymouth Sport Suburban. I switched the front over to look like a 1970. Here is my wifes current daily driver. She drives this one to work and we use it on the weekends. It's a 1999 S10 Xtreme that I bought new. It is loaded with a 4.3 and an auto. She now has 165k on her and has been great to us. Most upgrades are cosmetic and she rolls on 20's. I did upgrade the brakes to SSB 4 wheel discs bat after this pic was taken. And our last car. This one has been a project for the last 7 years. My wife bought it in 96 when we were dating. It's a 71 Chevelle Malibu. It now has a 350 with Vortec heads and is running about 375 hp. Over the past 7 years it got a 4L60 auto, 12 bolt with 3:73 and eaton pozi, new 2.5 dual custom exhaust and headers. Aluminum drive shaft upgrade. The last 4 years have been lots of body work. She is almost ready for paint. I'm blocksanding now and plan to have paint on her by the end of the month. Here is a current pic.

my66s55
This is my daily driver. I am retired and don't drive more than a few hundred miles a month. It is 1 of 669 1966 full size Mercury S55 convertibles built that year. I am the second owner. The S55's came with a 428, c-6 trans, bucket seats and center console with shifter. It's options include power windows, power brakes, am-fm radio and front fender marker lights The only things that are not stock are a Summet cam to help gas mileage, American racing Torque Thrust II wheels and 1972 Montego front disk brakes to help stop this beast. Jim Gibbons
Wow, I'm enjoying pics of everyone's rides. I'm disabled now, and don't drive, but I've had some really neat cars over the decades. I guess one of my favorites was a mint '58 Cadillac Series 60 4dr. One of the best cars (at least the one I had the most fun in) I had was a '69 Camaro in Daytona yellow w/ a black vinyl roof and interior. I also had a '60 Ford Sunliner in the same scheme as my avatar. Had a lot of great A1 VW's, too; Rabbits, Scirocco, etc. Dave, (Karmodeler2) your Healey is stunning, and I'm quite envious! Here's the car I WISH I had; this was my aunt's MB 300C that I went to my baptism in.
RodneyBad
That is an Awesome looking Wagon.. The front end looks Great on it too.. I've always wanted to find an early 60s Dart Wagon or a 69 sport Satellite wagon and Tub it for a Daily driver
Karmodeler2
Dave, (Karmodeler2) your Healey is stunning, and I'm quite envious! Thanks Jim. When you spend 22 years doing something, it better look good when you are done. I get accused of it being a trailer queen, but those that know me see me in it about every day. I figured if you spend that much time under it, you ought to spend that much time in it. My wife says I'm like a 16 year old with a brand new license. I told her that is WAY too mature for where I am in my life right now!!! Thanks for the kind words. Some day I'll tell you the story of how I got it back in 1985 and it has far more sentimental value than money could ever hope to buy. David That Mercedes is one of my favorites. I wish I had been to my baptism in that......that is one sweet ride!! My Uncle has a 61 190D that I drove from Dallas to Greenville SC for him and it had a spare motor and trans IN THE TRUNK!!!! That's how big this car is.....and it drove like a dream. We got more looks and honks and my dad and I had a great time. You had to put in a steering correction to your left about the time an 18 wheeler was coming up on your rear bumper and take it out about the time he was finishing passing your front one. If you did not, the wind would blow you off the road. It was like flying in a crab....I would correct and take it out when they got past me. We had a blast!!! Thanks for sharing the pic!!!
