Railfreak78 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Hey everyone! This one is wrapped up now. I want to thank you all for the following on the bench and the comments and suggestions. I normally do not get along with these types of kits and really, it was out of my comfort zone. ( A lot! ) Anyways, There are few things I wished I did like a battery and cables but maybe I'll get to that later. I think I am going to to a light wash on the springs on the trailer as I noticed it just now. This kit was really really fun and I hope you guys and gals like it. Thanks again to Matt ( Highway ) for the decals. I'll get some outside pics tomorrow as I couldn't wait to share. Enjoy! Edited November 14, 2010 by Railfreak78
davyou5 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Wow ! I almost thought that it was a Diecast. Exceptional job! .
W-409 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Wow, that's nice! Othervise it's so nice that it looks like diecast, but diecast have no that kind of detailing! Nice job on this, I've been looking for this kit long long time, but always I have found something better... Paintjob looks nice, it's good idea to build it like John Deere theme. Engine detailing looks cool, and interior is nice etc. Good tire and wheel combo. Nice job on that "trailer" too, but I have never been a great fan of that. Nice model!
Danno Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Turned out very nice, Brian. Good job! I just happen to know a great place to show it off next weekend! See you in Scottsdale at GoodGuys 13th Southwest Nationals!
David G. Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Excellent work, Brian! It looks like a 1:1 promo car that one might see at a trade show. Very cool!
Railfreak78 Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 Thank you everybody for the kind words.
tuffone20 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 It came out looking great! And you should take it to Good Guys and not the meeting on Saturday..........
Jantrix Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I'd mentioned in your WIP thread about the yellow interior looking toylike, which you obviously improved upon. I must say I totally approve of this entire build. It looks perfect.
Chuck Most Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 All she needs now is a three bottom plow! Very cool, sir!
AzTom Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Looks great Brian, The Lawn mower is a nice touch. You know JD actually worked on franchising a lawn care service back in the 80? Look forward to seeing it this weekend. AzTom

Railfreak78 Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 Wow, Thank you everyone. I'm glad you liked it. I though it would be fun and refreshing to make something a little different and I guess you guys thought so too. Thanks again
crazyjim Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Ha - I knew it was a model when I didn't see tire tracks in the sand. Looks great!
