oldscool Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 a set of fenton heads and a scott blower with 2 carbs would be ideal.. I was thinking scott blower also or a wild six carb manifold. gus
Chuck Most Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 i know that Norman has that market pretty well cornered and covered very nicely but there are those out there who do not use resin parts. something in a kit from Sharp, Offenhauser, Grancor, etc. would be a refreshing change. I'll second that! A Frenzel blower wouldn't kill me, either!
charlie8575 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Well, I would be a little more interested in this if it wasn't for the chopped roof. I might, however, pick one of these up to use as a conversion for the fastback that Jerry Koszut offers. http://resinrealm.net/-MCM/FORD/48Ford2dr/48Ford2drsed.html As for that Olds grille.....I NEED to figure out how to make a '46-'48 Olds. The Galaxie Chevy is definitely the starting point, it's figuring out how to do the job properly. Charlie Larkin
deathskull59 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 a trad. hot rod versen with a corvette v8 motor and a scotts blower. and a finned air scoop with flames doeint sound too bad neither. that would be perfect for a chopped versen than a kusom. or maby a rat rod type of car.

Jantrix Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Yeah. I spotted this on one of my FB modeling page. It does look VERY promising.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I don't know, but I want one NOW too. Wow, that looks fabulous . . . and the brain fills with lots of ideas! Can't wait to see it in the stores.
Sixx Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! man, I'm chomping at the bit!!!!!!!!!
Gregg Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I don't know if I would build it with the side skirts or not. But after mocking it up, maybe yes, but no to the rear fender skirt?
Sixx Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Oh man, no fender skirts. I'm geeking, waiting to git a few of em!!!!!
Chuck Most Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Not sure on the skirts- if they were a bit longer it would be a definite yes.
Nick Notarangelo Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Dear Gregg I know you have a very busy life to lead, being the boss and all.....So it would be in your best intrest and well mine if I build that kit for you since you are to busy building other things and enjoying that wonderful lifestyle you lead. what the hell I had to try something.
Gregg Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Nick, that is very original. I love it!!!! But, you never answered the question: Skirts, or no skirts, that is the question (keep everyone's dirty mind out of this one please) And the rims, Bob Dudek's Cadi Sombraro ones, yes? Two-tone? Redish? Flat head of course or ???? Maybe some wild nail polish paint? Nick, I'm still laughing....
Kris Morgan Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Skirts or, no skirts? Easy, build two. One with, one without, duh(LOL).
Chuck Most Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Not to knock the Dudek Sombreros (which are undeniably cool), how about those Replicas and Miniatures '61 Buick covers?
