ian ashton Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Like everyone else, I like it a ton! Are those emblems photo etch, or something else? They look phenomenal!

yvan.32 Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Amazing El Camino, great work....love it !!!!
W-409 Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Amazing job you did on this! I like the stance and those wheels and tires are just perfect choice to this one. Engine detailing is stunning, and color looks very good to me. Paintjob is really nice too. How you did the hood scoop? I'm building one of these too, and it will be original, a friend to my '65 Malibu sedan, silver with red interior. Perfect combo. But yours is looking very good to me.
crazyjim Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Very nice. I'd like to see the questions answered about paint, emblems.
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 The paint is Tamiya spray paint "champagne" is the color. The hood is a resin cowl hood. All emblems are photoetch. I paint all the edges on my photoetch flat black and sand off the tops. It gives it depth and when you photograph the model adds a natural shaddow around it. Here is a sheet of photoetch and you can see the black and color on the emblem Here is another 66 Chevelle and you can see the black shaddow on the Super Sport emblem
