351 cleve Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Basic curbside, lowered as far as possible, wired and detailed engine, molded in front and rear custom roll pans, scratch built cowl hood, paint is Testors One Coat Lacquer Flaming Orange and Model Master Wimbledon White. Lots of BMF ...Enjoy
Harry P. Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Very cool! Man, where have you been??? Good thing you finally decided to show your work.
DRG Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Don't really care for the," in the weeds" look, but it is a very nice build.
oldscool Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Another nice one! The paint scheme almost makes it look like it has been sectioned. gus
stewart Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I like the mix of modern and retro. Nice build STewart
Erik Smith Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I really like the color combination. Cool looking car.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I like it, the colors, the stance, and also the wonderful pictures . . . a model always gains from being photograph in a good environment.
W-409 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 That is really nice Galaxie! I have always liked this body, and after these customizing things, you've done the body looks even better. Very nice job on this, paintjob is great, and color combo looks very nice to me. Wheels and tires are very good choice for this, and I like to see it without bumbers. That grille looks very good too. It would be nice to see some pictures of engine and interior too... But nice car anyway.
Naydrus Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Pardon me, but what does BMF mean? This eludes me. *puzzled*
pepperdrumstix Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Nice Ford and it is "in the weeds" for sure. Steve, BMF means the use of Bare metal Foil on the chrome trim parts on the car. Usually better than trying to paint them with some form of silver or metal paint or leaving them body color. Some cars need more foil than others too. That Ford looks great in those 2 colors and the custom work you did was near perfect for that car. I can't wait to see more of your work. Patrick M
Draggon Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I dig this! Im not to fond of the hood, but otherwise it's great! It looks real good with the mild custom parts and the steel wheels with hubcaps, and the lowering really makes it stand out! I love it!
Harold Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Great work on your Ford. Love everything about it- color, stance, the whole shabang.
walt francis Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 OMG. Is that sweeeet! Thomas you have a message
Bruce Poage Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Wow! "That looks great. What was the source of the wheels and caps?
351 cleve Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Wow! "That looks great. What was the source of the wheels and caps? Parts box wheels...not sure where they came from...caps came from revell 56 Nomad kit....Tom
Guest Markus355 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 love it! except for the cowl hood. doesnt really jive with the rest of the car's style.
jsimmons Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I like the whole thing - hood, slammed, and paint.
Chuck Most Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 It's big... it's Ford... it's custom... I adore it!!!!
bsoder Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That is a fine lookin' build...I love the look of those wheels
jhuntsman Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 not bad i guess.... i could do better.... hahaha nice one old man!
pharr7226 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Literally in the weeds... I love it. My dad drag raced a '64. I dig these big old beasts. Great job on the paint, stance, and diorama.
seeker589 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Love the stance! You just can't shove those wheels into the fenderwells far enough! The two-tone makes the car look even longer than it is! Thanks for sharing.
