Danno Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Wow, Ron! Nice job on both of them. But, I gotta say ... the 'vert is the best!! Great work.
novadose71 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Can't decide which I like better....Nice work on both
retrobuilder Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 The convert is cool, but the gasser is awesome!! where did the body come from?
george 53 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 WHOA!!! MY (used ta be) Green Bay Packers, 50 Olds bank doesn't have opening hood or Engine compartment detail! THOSE are NICE! Are they die-cast or resin? Either way, they ARE beautiful. I LOVE the Convert! But that lil gasser's tha MOOK too!!!!
Naydrus Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 That is one beautiful Olds vert! Was it a kit? If so, I wanna get my hands on one. Great job!
larrygre Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Defnitely some of the BEST reworked diecasts I have ever seen! Congratulations!!!
Chuck Most Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Love them both! Now you have to build one to match your avatar photo. MCW offers a few Oldsmobile kits covering 1951 to 1955. Hmmmmmmmmm.....
paul alflen Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 RON SHOW US HOW YOU MANAGED TO CUT OPEN DIE CAST DOORS THAT CLEANLY!! OR DID YOU USE 2 CARS TO GET I PAIR OF GOOD DOORS??
Olds Rocket 88 Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 Love them both! Now you have to build one to match your avatar photo. MCW offers a few Oldsmobile kits covering 1951 to 1955. Hmmmmmmmmm..... Already did Chuck....
paul alflen Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 ARE YOU SURE THAT OLDS CONVERTIBLE ISNT 1/18 SCALE? THAT INTERIOR IS DETAILED LIKE ONE!
Chuck Most Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Already did Chuck.... Uh. Oh. Well, then. Guess you're already ten steps ahead of me!
Poncho-Power Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 still one day would like to see a pontiac from the 50's done!
W-409 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Great. That convertible looks very realistic, paintjob is amazing and detailing looks good. I also like the interior very much. That Gasser version is nice too, only bad thing is that it's matt colored, not gloss I mean. But engine looks good and stance is perfect. It's nice to see these being built.
John Teresi Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Ron.......two beautiful builds......luv em both .......great job.
spkgibson Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Those have to be THE best reworked diecasts ever done, That Convertable looks like it was made that way,That Gasser looks like something right out of the early to mid 60's ,Very cool, How in the world did you get the windshield frame on the convertable to look so nice? Great work on all 3, I have to say I can't pick a favorite, I love all 3 of them.
Nick W. Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Those are the Ertl Elite edition diecasts! I have one that I am working on for my main table at my wedding reception.
