I don't know what to say, I've said & seen written so many times things like "great","awesome","fantastic", none of those really tell the story, the front end detail (heck!, THE ENTIRE BUILD!)is...is...is, I don't know a word that works Romell, wait I think I got it!, can't spell it, but Dick Van Dyke said it in (I think)Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Hey Richard thx for the compliment and was that word "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" ? No that cant be it that was from Mary Popins , but Dick VanDyke was in that movie too. ;)

I just joined the forum. I first read your chevelle thread and that blew me away now this one! I have been learning so much! You are a awesome craftsman! I'd like to see pictures of that table mill. And do you have a jewlers lathe or something? You work magic with metal and plastic.

Thats the word I meant, I just knew that Dick Van Dyke said it, never watched either movie.I just love the shade of blue on the chassis.

Randy

Hey Thx Randy I'm really looking forward to your next installment on your rat rod, oh and the chassis is almost 16 inches exactly from front to wheelie bars.

Well fellas here's my next update. i was able to finish the steering linkage and get the rear brakes started here are the pics I hope you enjoy B)

rearbrakeassembly001.jpg

rearbrakeassembly006.jpg

from this tube I cut .........

rearbrakeassembly008.jpg

these two rings and then soldered them to a sheet of brass......

rearbrakeassembly010.jpg

rearbrakeassembly011.jpg

then i soldered that assembly to 2 smaller tubes & cut them off

rearbrakeassembly013.jpg

this formed the axles

rearbrakeassembly014.jpg

then these were soldered to larger dics that I cut from brass and this makes up the brake assembly

rearbrakeassembly015.jpg

Although not finished this is where it will be installed...
