Dave B Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) It's the 3rd time lucky for this old girl. Originally built stock it was then modified to a big tyred street going sports car. Got sick of it again about 20 years ago and pulled it apart and left the bits in the cupboard. Got inspired after I started casting the Goodyear Sports Car Special tyres & Minilite wheels. It now resides with my other 60's sports racers. Tks for looking Dave B P.S. Not sure why I left the windscreen wipers on!!! Edited June 25, 2011 by Bantoft
GTMust Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Ahhhhh.... memories of my youth! Don't pull this one apart in a couple of years... it's a beautiful classic! I need a set of 1/24 scale Minilites for my 1970 Trans Am Mustang race car. Do you have a set of resins that would work for me? If so, please PM me with a price. Thanks, Tony
Gray Smith Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I've been wanting one of these for a while.....great build and I never tire of seeing minilites on race cars...or any cars..
davyou5 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Wow! 20 Years?? Still that is a very Clean and well built model for having it sit around for a loooong time. Excellent Job! .
djway3474 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Cool I can hear it moving through the esses at Riverside heading in to turn 6
Dave B Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Tks for the comments guys, the pics probably don't do it justice. I'll learn to use my camera properly one day. Just answering the couple of questions it is AMT's 1/25 version. Regards Dave B
rick6343 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Very cool. I recently built one stock. Are those the fender flares from the kit? How did you get the wheels/tires to fit? Thanks,
Joe Handley Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) Looks cool, there was a shirt at Road America last weekend that had a car almost identical to that on it! Edited July 4, 2011 by Joe Handley
