Looking good can you still get the stencils for the tires had one have no idea where it went to. What do use to sand your tires with like what grade paper do u use.

Thanks for the info on the stencil. On these tires, I used the rough side of an emory board. The sidewalls should have been done with the less gritty side as they're a bit rough. Probably why the decals aren't sticking.

Brad...those dzus fasteners are looking good man. hey you need to order some stuff called Gator Glue. It's an acrylic glue that works good on photo etch parts. Another thing I was thinking was how about using some clear enamel paint as a glue. it may work. i have even hear of people using future floor wax on PE parts but I had no luck with it when i tried. May be worth tesing one on the prining plate. glad yoy have gotteb back to this. need to get this bad boy painted ;)

for got to say i will post a pic of it for you later when i get hone from work.

Really great job with the Fiat! I've been waiting for an update, since this is one of the most interesting builds on this forum. Great detailing all over, it just looks so realistic.

Thanks Bill and Niko. Appreciate the comments and you guys following along. This build keeps haunting me and will until I get it done.

Chris - thanks for the lead on the Gator' Grip glue. I'll look for it at Hobby Depot if I ever get a chance to get down there again.

As for the next project(s), I've started a Willys pickup gasser. Its in the early mockup stage at the moment. I also need to get my 'T' bucket street rod done for next month's Moonlight Modelers meeting. The meeting's at my house and the theme is convertibles. I can't be a proper host without something on the table. It mostly needs paint and the windshield frame repaired and reglassed.

Hey Brad, it may be easier to buy that glue direct as when hobby depot told me they were going to order it. i waited and waited then got tired of waiting after a few weeks and ordered it direct and got it in a couple of days. I do have an extra bottle of it if you'd like it.

Thanks for the info and the kind offer. Too bad we live so far away from each other. How's your Sunday shaping up?

Were you able to find your tire lettering stencil?

Brad, looking great man. Hey, another way of attaching the Dzus fasteners (or other P/E items) is to use Future floor coating, works great, stronger than white glue and if you make a mistake a little glass cleaner cleans it off to start again.

Thank Brett. I'm really happy with how they came out.

Thank you for the tip Charlie. I've heard of guys using Future, just never tried it myself. What I DID use worked out quite well and I'm happy with the results. We'll see if they stay put.

Well, what can I say. I'm finally back at this build. I wanted to airbrush the paint but after my compressor was stolen, I finally decided to use a rattle can.

Self-made decals have been applied along with a few others on the firewall. Just a few items left like finishing up the parachute and cords. I'm going to set it up where I can still remove the body for displaying purposes and be able to unhook the parachute cords so the body can be separate. A few other small items left to do before I can call this one done.

Brad!!!.... That turned out awesome!! Man it sure looks great. Very Nice job on it. This model is a beauty and I can't wait to drool over it at the Desert Scale Classic. Being able to see it in person in various stages was awesome and man it is just killer that it is almost done. All of the hard work was worth it. Beautiful Model my friend.

Thanks for the comments guys. This was and still is a fun build and I put more into this one than any other but that's how it's suppose to work with progressive skills.
