Sully Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Good job on capturing the look of the early 60's drag cars............nice job Sully

george 53 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 GREAT job,Roger! Who's kit is it? Is it resin or did you mod an old JoHan kit? That Engine compartment is beautiful! LOVE that intake set up! VERY NICE! ;)
caine440 Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 Thanks for the kind words. The intake is from modelhaus. The body is resin off ebay. The rest is parts box and a AMT 58 Plymouth.
John Teresi Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Roger......you did such a FANTASTIC job on this build ......turned out GREAT!!!!!!!
Sixties Sam Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Very nice job of capturing the past! The '61 Mopars were odd looking, but cool! Sam
spkgibson Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 WOW, Very cool. Your Prostocks and Super Stock builds always amaze me, Excellent job on this one.
David G. Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Those old racers just bring a smile to my face. Great job on this one! David G.
MrObsessive Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Y'know, the more the years wear on, the cooler these cars look! I thought they were quite dreadful looking, even when I saw these as a kid in the '60's. Now, they look pretty sharp compared to some of the dumb designs I see today. That's a pretty neat build, and I'll betcha some street 1:1's were running that Ram setup under the hood back then.
Crusader101 Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Very nice build! Where did you source the decals?
caine440 Posted July 10, 2011 Author Posted July 10, 2011 Thanks! Here is a link to the decals. They are at the bottom of the page. http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/resin/resinlist.html
W-409 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 That's nice! I like the engine detailing on it, and that manifold looks very good too. Paintjob looks very good, and decals are nicely on their place. Stance looks good, wheels and tires are great. This one is really clean build, and that '61 Dodge is very nice car.
funhouse1 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Love it, love it, love it! Also, gotta' agree w/ Mr. Geary, the much-disparaged Mopar designs of the late 50's-early 60's are kind of endearing at this point.
Guest Johnny Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 One I have never seen before! Very cool build!
