Steve Prideaux Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I just finished my Ardun Powered Belly Tanker. The body is a resin piece (from I don't know were) Scratch built frame, and ModelHaus front wheels. thanks for looking. Steve Prideaux
Eric Stone Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Ooh I like that a lot. Is that the Star Models belly tanker, maybe? I like how you set up the second shot with the salt photo.
my name is nobody Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Awesome. That is a really terrific replica. well built. and all the right stuff. makes me want to get my 1:1 belly tank out of my barn and build up a salt flats racer.
funhouse1 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Man, I have to say I'm always jazzed when you post something 'cause it's invariably a subject that pushes all my buttons, and your execution is just amazing... Hope you don't mind but I'm reposting your pix so folks that are not members can see 'em as well. GREAT stuff!
Bernard Kron Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 (edited) Excellent!!! Really, really nicely done with lots of pleasing detail work. Is there a W.I.P. somewhere where we can enjoy more of this fine model? BTW, the tanker shell looks like it might be from Early Years Resin ( http://earlyyearsresin.webs.com/lsrparts.htm ). Romell R Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 love the build Steve and love the use of the salt flats photo
Steve Prideaux Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 Thank you all, for the comments. I greatly appreciate them. I am sorry, I do not have any work in progress photos. I believe, that the tank body, was from Joe Curtis at Fremont Racing Products. ( no longer in business ) The rear wheels are from the Wild Willy Borsch kits front wheels, dechromed and added lugnuts from RB Motion. thanks again Steve Prideaux the 40 Ford has a blown Buick nailhead in it for "pushing power"
Bernard Kron Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Thanx for extra pics. The more the better! I really dig the little trailer, it's just right for the Bad Banana!
Draggon Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Holy....Oh I cant say that word here....man thats NICE!!
Sixties Sam Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Great build! I like the photo at the Flats, really adds a touch of realism! Nice work! Sam
Scale-Master Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 That is really cool! I like the attention to detail and how you got it all to fit in such a compact and believable package.
Mr Core Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 That's one coool ride man. Never thought I would say this, but I wanna ride that banana
Fuel Coupe Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 this is one car I haven't built but would love to build is a belly tanker. great work..
styromaniac Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Nice Work. The "salt" caked on the tires would've looked more to scale if you had used baking soda instead of real salt. I know..nit picking.....
