MikeMc Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Very Real.....newspaper in the blower scoop 266.043 B/Fuel Roadster
george 53 Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Daaaaam Harry, THIS one IS GOOD!!!! Can't see any brake lines on it, I THINK it's real, but............. Ok, Imma gonna go with LARGE scale MODEL!!!!!
Jon Cole Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Agree... this is a tough one. On one hand, there appears to be two diff. sources of light... the first, and most obvious, is the natural light from the horizon far off to the left. And yet, the front of that blower sure looks illuminated. A good photographer would use reflective light bounce. So, I will go with... "REAL"
Draggon Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I noticed the moon discs have the same outward flare at the lip where they mount to the wheels, just like the set in my garage. That swayed my opinion!
Joe Handley Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) Real, and I think it only has brakes on the rear axle (and hopefully a 'chute then too ) Edited August 3, 2011 by Joe Handley
mikemodeler Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 took the easy way out and went with real. it has been a long time since I was wrong so hopefully the streak continues!
W-409 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Somehow it doesn't look real.. But it doesn't look model... This is really tough one. But I went with real, I've been wrong for many weeks, and I hope that this time I'm correct.
CorvairJim Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Another tough one, Harry.. I went back and forth with myself on this one a few times befor I decided to say it's the real deal. By brother-in-law is a profesional photographer who has done automotive work most of his career, and I see some of the hallmarks of his tradecraft in the photo work here. I know it's not his photo, but it could well have ben taken by one of the guys he's worked with.
horsepower Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Real! Not only the newspaper in the blower scoop, but the mold lines on the tires tend to point toward it being a model.
chevyman Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 The background does not look real. I say it is a super built model.
MikeMc Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) Rick..Harry is a master with Photoshop.....He will mess with backgrounds...not the cars so look only at the car for your clues... Edited August 3, 2011 by MIKE THE MANIAC
Ryan S. Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Too many things look real to me on this one, so that's the way I voted!
Johnny Racer Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Went with real on this one for several reasons. Time will tell.
