Greg Myers
nope, one can't go to London with out a ride on the big bus.
stump
Now...that's got a kool factor of 10/10 in my book......
sjordan2
That's pretty awesome. Is there a version with open seating on the roof?
Dr. Cranky
Ooh, that one is creaming out to be built in a diorama! Thanks for posting.
Tony T
Cool...there's one near me that was converted into a chip vendor (french fries, poutine, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc)...doesn't indicate scale, but would be real cool if it was 1/24! Would go great with the London Taxi kit! Edited August 12, 2011 by Tony T

Erik Smith
That's pretty awesome. Is there a version with open seating on the roof? Take a look at the test shots - one shows the bus with the top removed - not much work to make it an open seater. One of my fondest life memories - an evening cruise around Hong Kong in an open top double decker. This model looks pretty cool - full engine too! george 53
Yeah, it looks to be 1/24th scale! I wonder how much? B)
bigphoto
Very Cool! But I was more interested in the 1/25 Porsche RS 3.0 coming in Sept.
niteowl7710
If it's anything like that modern 1/25 bus they put out last year it'll run $85-100 over here since I doubt it will get a Revell USA re-box.
jbwelda
are you kinda thinking a street rod for that bus?

Tony T
THAT just is simply not fair!! Too bad about the taxi scale... Would love to see a modern transit bus in 1/24...our city has 3 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500s, and recently ordered 75 more. Love the fact they did a 1/24 model of the older DD! Things are looking up! Junkman
There was a design competiton for a new London Bus. You can see some of the entries here: http://www.dezeen.com/2008/12/19/a-new-bus-for-london-by-aston-martin-and-foster-partners/comment-page-1/?replytocom=219625

I doubt whether it is the old Imai taxi, looking at parts count, it might be new tooling.
Junkman
I doubt whether it is the old Imai taxi, looking at parts count, it might be new tooling. One would have thought they'd at least change the box art then?

If memory serves correctly, didn't Gunze-Sangyo(now 'Mr. Hobby') do a 1/24 London taxi a number of years back?
Junkman
If everything fails, you can compliment your London Bus with the Welly diecast FX4. It deffo is 1:24 and it is quite nice actually.

Danno
Can't wait for that bus! Too bad the taxi is in the wrong scale! (Hope I don't get blasted for saying that!)

Chuck Most
Haven't seen the Aoshima London Taxi until now. I thought Airfix did a 1:24 Taxi that was fairly well detailed.
