People crazy. Seriously, I drive perhaps the most boring vehicle you will ever encounter. A Saturn SL2. That being said, I love it. It gets great mileage and it starts every time. Not to mention the fact that it's paid for. I like that part the best. B)

A 2004 Subaru Impreza RS. That's the one with the 2.5 litre normally aspirated engine from the Legacy, but with all the underpinnings and suspension from the WRX.

I've done just short of 120,000 km, that's about 75,000 miles.

I originally had it as my company vehicle when I still worked, but bought out the lease when I retired.

My wife drives it a lot more than I do.

I tend to do the 15 mile journey to and from golf twice a week in her car, a 2005 Hyundai Getz 1.5 litre, as it is a lot easier on the juice. It's only travelled 28,000 km or 17,500 miles since new.

first Mustang that i did the suspension on for handling instead of drag racing and it was a LOT of fun. very nice handling car that rode very nicely too. unfortunely an automatic and the last auto Mustang i'd ever have. good for some tire spinning fun with a 150hp shot of nitrous though B)

Dave, Do you have anything to match up with that truck behind the Corvette?

You know Michelle, I think with a mild shaving, slightly larger wheels, and either airbags or a slight drop, those cars would make nice looking mild kustoms.

I'd like to see a photoshop of that LOL. Maybe some 20" wheels (nothing bigger than that - I'm not into Donks) and maybe some two tone white pearl over a slightly darker cerulean blue. I did a quick search to see if anyone even makes lowering springs, coilovers, or an airbag setup but didn't find anything (it probably won't happen with this car anyway ). Honestly I'm probably going to keep this car the way it is besides getting some car audio equipment so I can hear my bass lol. Maybe some bigger wheels if I can find a good deal, idk, it's not my kind of car so I won't be putting that much $$ into it ;)

I got behind one of those in traffic the yesterday that had the larger factory wheels, looked to be 17" and they looked much better on the car, but I agree with you on the anything bigger than 20's, especially with any drop. Speaking of which, I wouldn't be surprised if the kits made for the GP/Regal/Impala would be a direct fit to that Buick. Color wise I think you're right on the money, preferably some sort of white or dark blue or black pearl, candy red, or something more "traditional" (IE post war-mid 60's) color wise. I'd love to see one that is a full on Kustom that has had the door handles and chrome badges shaved, replace the grill with a billet or small tube grill, air bag it, wheels that are more of a disk type shape (think Moon Disk, Sombrero's, Lancer's, ect)

My everyday driver is the 2009 F150 Crew cab. Hobby car is a 1960 Thunderbird, just turned 48,000 miles. Car is unrestored, still has original paint, and has a fairly rare option of the 430 engine.

Pics were taken the day I picked it up in late May this year, at which time it had about 66,800 miles on it...sitting at about 70,500 miles right now. Big, comfortable cruiser. :)

1994 Mustang GT ragtop (NOT as stock as it looks B) )

As to all that hooplah about MPG's for a few pages a few pages back,y'all can drive a hybrid if ya wants to,that leaves more premium for the drags in my Stang,LOL! Seriously though,18-24 out of either 4.3L/autos in the S-trucks,a best of 36.3 (all hwy on vacation) and worst of 27.2 since she's owned the Neon, and between 13.4 (when out playing) and 24.1 MPG's (when she was with me and giving me the stinkeye every time I revved past 2,000RPM,LOL) out of the Mustang :)

The Corvette, not the truck... Sold the pick-up recently after owning it for 27 years, for about what I paid for it.

Nice Corvette and all but I like the truck more!! It's a '71 right?

Posted

The truck is a 72. Bone stock with an LS9, 4-speed and 4:11 gears in a 12 bolt. Homegrown rust work...

Bought it when it was just a 12 year old pup... Still has a lot of life in it...

Admittedly, I only drive it on Sundays, which makes me a typical Sunday driver.

The car was built in 1986 on a 1969 Corvette chassis.

It won the STT (Special Touring Car Trophy) in 1987, 1988 and 1989.

Two time Le Mans participant.

Three time 24h Nürburgring participant. Best lap: 7:08:37, that's half a second shy of the Formula One lap times achieved there.

Six time 24h Spa Francorchamps participant.

The car is still competitive in the Supercar League.

It's powered by a de-stroked 454 (to A. meet the seven litre limit and B. achieve higher revs) with Crower injection from a power boat, Doug Nash 3-disc clutch and a Muncie M22 rock crusher, backed by a BMW diff. Steering is courtesy of an Alfa-Romeo 2000 Berlina rack-and-pinion and it has Brembo brakes at all four corners. All we had to do for that is knock on the Brembo guys' shoulders and they did the brakes for us. The entire setup weighs in at less than 2425 lbs. And if you didn't get it by now, it's a noisy thing.

You must have '71 Marker Lights on it then...

Can't remember if mine has 4.09 or 4.11 gears. I'm thinking it's 4.09.
