Man those surreys are so much fun.We rent a shore house every summer at the Jersey shore and rent these alot. I looked into buying one and that's about what they were going for.Although it looks like you got a good deal cause shes sweet as all heck.(

The best time we ever had was when we rented three of them and decorated them for my daughters birthday complete with tinsel, banners and dragging soda cans.

We went to the Phoenix Zoo and I rented a surrey there and then I just had to have some kind of a 4 wheel bike and up until a month ago I had 2 of these bikes. The one I sold I drove all the way to Dallas, TX to buy for $450 and 7 days later we found this one about a mile from where my wife works and it was in much better shape so we paid the $500 and my son & wife rode it home!! We have taken this thing every where and even to the Zoo and every year we put lights on it and riding it around on Halloween night!! :D

Yup! It's a '88 Dodge Daytona C/S with a 2.2l turbo intercooled running 20psi boost. As you can see, it is now in storage for the winter

I used to own an '84 Turbo Z. Garnet red upper, silver lower, 5 speed. Pretty fast car for a 4 cylinder... until the turbo blew. :D

Bought it new, drove it for 6 years (including 2 years with the blown turbo!)...

It looked exactly like this one:

I forgot about my eco friendly ride :D:lol:

I just can't ride it when it's in the 100's :o

That thing is pretty cool.

That's actually pretty cool!

But I wouldn't want to try going uphill with a full passenger load...

Add some extra pedals and make them work for their ride. LOL

I like those old turbo Mopars. And yours looked very nice!

I got an old MPC '84 turbo Z kit in my stash, to build in the future, and I like that garnet upper/silver lower paint :)

First loves die hard...1990 Mustang LX 5.0 rests in storage back in Illinois...just cant bear to part with her. First new car.

The Demonic Clown Car. It's my company car (Mazdaspeed3) and it's the most fun thing I've ever had to drive. It's just a blast.

Hmmm... Mark, you can guess which one I like best. Is that Medium Red on yours?

My 1981 Monte Carlo will also be a WIP. I plan to give it a new paint job, and add some engine mods. Any ideas on the color, guys? Keep in mind the interior and viynal roof are brown.

Cool! I bet that's fun. It'll look killer when it's all one color.

It can be hair raising in the rain. Ive got some killer paint planned for it. Also have 2 new doors and a right side fender for it. Paint will be a charcoal grey and purple with a tribal style split. Going to be redoing all the front suspension before to long and lowering it some more also.

My drivers...

'94 Ford F-250 (More of a backup and 'heavy lifter' than a daily driver nowadays, what with gas being $2.60 where I live currently.)You can also sort of see my brother's '78 Cutlass and '80 Delta 88 to the right of it.

The T-Racer, my '98 Mercury Tracer LS (twin to the Ford Escort), which is my primary warhorse with 296,000 miles on the clock to date.

I've also got a few projects in various states of disrepair...

My '67 Plymouth Fury 4-door, complete with blown-out windsheild, which hasn't seen the road since 2003.

My '81 Ford F-250 4x4... I just might end up dropping the body from my 2WD '94 onto this chassis. Just a thought.

'46 Chevy 2 1/2 ton dump- this one will donate it's cab (and a few other parts) to a truckster rod, still a way off in the future.

I've also got a '78 International Scout II Diesel 4x4 that is in very sad shape, but no pictures of it.

What, no army tanks?

Mark, mine is actually Medium Red, that's why I asked if yours was too. It's a '91, has Titanium gray cloth interior, premium sound, sport seats, power accessories, etc. No sunroof. Mine's a 5 spd, has an MGW shifter which I LOVE, 3.73 gears. It has a stock long block and stock headers, with a FRPP Cobra intake, 65mm TB, a recently added C&L 76mm MAF, March Ram Air, BBK off-road X pipe, 2.5" Flowmaster catback system, Black Magic electric fan. It had H&R sport springs and Tokico blue shocks and struts all around when I got it. It still has those up front, but has Eibach Drag Launch springs and Strange 10-way adjustable shocks out back now, with the matching springs and struts waiting to go on the front, just gotta find some time. It has Maximum Motorsports full length SFC's, caster/camber plates, and adjustable spring perch rear LCA's. It has the Pony wheels with 245/50/16's, and also has the Weld Draglites with a 165 tire up front and Nitto 275/50/15 555R drag radials out back. I bought it in June '08 with 65k miles on it, and it currently has 72k I think. It's a blast to drive, and I take it to the track occasionally. Its best pass was 13.89@100, but that was before the big MAF, and I'm still trying to learn to launch it without spinning. Somehow the idea of dumping the clutch to KEEP FROM spinning seems backwards to me, but with that rear suspension and those tires, that's the way... I just slip it and spin for the first 20-30 ft. Need some practice... It's got some mid 13's in it if I can learn to drive it. The track just opened back up here, so I wanna go back soon.

If you wanna un-beast yours, I'll trade you my stock stuff for your stroker.

I'd lose the vinyl top and any associated trim before the repaint. Things tend to get rusty under there, and a repaint would be a good opportunity to fix any that may already be there, while removing it is a good way to prevent future problems. But that's just me. Brown interior would work with a few different colors, so you've got some options...

Lots of beautiful rides and interesting projects here!

The G6 Coupe is one of the few modern cars I consider genuinely attractive, and that '51 is beautiful, as is the trolley next to it. Where was that picture taken? (Traction fan here.)

Hey Charlie... The picture was taken at the Halton County Radial Rail Museum in Rockwood, Ont. Canada. It operates off a mile long section of what used to be an inter-urban line running from Toronto to Guelph and Kitchener. Lots of ex-Toronto Transit Commission cars in restored operating condition including ex-PCC cars and this early Peter Witt car from about 1918. The staff there was kind enough to let me pull into the park for the pictures.

Emo... I've been on a bit of a hiatus from the model building recently, and have been doing my Chevy chatting at the VCCA site. I'm always lurking about though...so stay in line!!

David I bet you get the weird looks and "Why?" every day when you mention you drive the professional car ?? I used to think it would be weird in one then at my last job we were working in a funeral home and the owner and I were talking and the discussion went about his business and such I ended up getting a tour of the facility ( No guests otherwise out of respect I would not have ) Ended in the vehicle they use regularly. After that I realize they were just another vehicle that does a job

Rick,

Yes, in many ways, it is a job just like any other, but it does have its unique problems and challenges. The main benefit, as far as I'm concerned, is being able to help people through one of the most difficult events they're likely to experience.

That and I get to wear nice clothes and drive big cars. :P

Seriously though, I am proud of what I do to help others.

This is the only car I own, hence it is my daily driver.

It is going to be replaced with a 1982 Chevrolet Caprice Classic though.

And when I don't use my car, I ride one of these:
