Dominik Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Hallo together, today i want to show you a smooth built from a perfect fitting kit. (My opinion) It is the 1956 Chevy Del Ray from Revell. I had made no changes or detailwork, because my first paintjob (darkred body, silver top) was a fault and so sometimes i'm happy, if a mismatched builtup is ready. Only wiring the engine, thats it. Some Pics:
Dominik Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) more from it... ....and the mistake on the right fender - well done Thats it. Comments are always welcome, thanks for your attention Edited September 1, 2011 by Dominik
Sixties Sam Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Beautiful model, Dominik! It looks real in those photos. The interior is amazing! Very nice! Sam
ewaskew Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 If this is your first paint job ever it came out real good. If it's your first time with a two tone it is still nice other than the bad spot on the fender Very good build either way
Rob Z Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 WOW!!! This really looks great... Nice work on the interior and just an over all nice looking car...

Dominik Posted September 3, 2011 Author Posted September 3, 2011 Thank you very much for your comments! Like we say:"This goes down as oil" Thanks a lot! @Mike and Steve: built yours ready - both of your paintjob looks good! Nice colors and also the rims!
mikemodeler Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Nice to see a different color combination instead of the usual blues and reds. Keep posting your builds, it gives some of us the motivation to finish some of ours!

Olskoolrodder Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Man that's a thing of beauty! NICELY done
Tonioseven Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Very nice build!! I have the old-tool Monogram '56 but I think I need to get this version!
W-409 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 This is really nice and clean build. Nice to see something other too, than Bel Air. Colors are nice, and paintjob looks good. I also like those wheels and tires, they look pretty realistic. Also engine is nicely done. Can't find any mistakes, other than that front fender, that you already mentioned. Cool build.
