zelkam Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) hi, By storing my gallery, I saw that I did not have this car here. I entamnée this project in 2008. I wanted to recreate a "woody" wood-free. I used a 1949 Mercury and a roof 55 of nomads. Scratch hard work! Watching aujoud'hui, I find that it has not aged. The 70 photos are on my Fotki. Enjoy your visit http://public.fotki....ury-1949-wagon/ some photos of the construction I wanted a neutral abiance purified. All seats have been redone. Dominik Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 That 49 Merc looks like it was always so! Perfect built, absolutely perfect! I like the clear styled back most and - of course - the beautiful color with that rims. Love it!
Foxer Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I really like the look of the wagon you did!
Dr. Cranky Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Amazing! Beautiful modification, love this one!
Sam Cates Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Wow, it looks so right! I saw the photo of the back end with all the putty and I was like "WTF?" but scroll a little further and BAM! Freakin' sweet!
crazyjim Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Looks like factory. Very nice - and SHINY. :)
Danno Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Very nice!! Very impressive how that putty-laden rear end turned out.
whale392 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 That is absolutely cool! Well built and just looks 'right'.
Sixties Sam Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Very nice marriage of Mercury and Chevy Nomad! Beautiful paint job. I like the color, and your workmanship is excellent! Sam
surfjunke Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 What a beautiful job! Great design & great execution! Very nice design. I really like the wagon!
charlie8575 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 This would also make a very interesting rep-stock build. In this context, though, it's very, very nicely done. Charlie Larkin
Skydime Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Looks like a well excuted stock box build. You would never know it is not a kit. I bet that if this was available in resin, it would sell pretty good.
zelkam Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 thank you for the comments. Even I got scared. I use a lot of putty. Without being on the final result. I had trouble with the back of the car. I use to cut (Electric Lime), the back of the car. And finally. I realize this model in six months.
Hoosierfarmboy Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) I am greatly impressed with this build. The wheels and tires are a perfect choice. Enjoyed the Fotki build up shots. The little red wagon was quite inspirational and original. Keep up the good work. Edited September 12, 2011 by Hoosierfarmboy
cruz Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Very cool my friend, you are a master when it comes to working with stationwagons.
Plasticfanatic Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Super modification and execution, love the final result and color,
