sobpinstriping
This is great! I can't wait to see it finished!
W-409
This is cool project, great scratchbuilding. That Corvair body fits nicely there. That frontend just looks cool. I like the stance, and rear tires are nice. Keep it going, I'm watching this one.
Psychographic
It's quite possible that there will be no more updates on this build. There is a conflict between what I feel is protecting myself and the rules of this board. So chances are my posting privileges will be soon revoked. It's the boards rule and I choose not to abide by it, so they have every right to remove me. To all who took the time to reply, thank you. DanielG
I second that! It is a great build, as for posting problems, what am I missing?
Foxer
I started looking way back at the start and just took another look ... glad to see the Corvair make it's appearance. This is some magnificent work going on ... I'm fully hooked now! And, I really just like the look you've got.
Chuck Most
Eh what? I second that! It is a great build, as for posting problems, what am I missing? Might be no last name in the 'full name' field.
sjordan2
Might be no last name in the 'full name' field. Pretty funny, ^. But it's there now.
Psychographic
Well it seems we've reached an agreement we can both live with, so on with the show. Lets see, where was I, oh yeah the build. The start of the worlds most strange header. This was the 3rd set I made and to be honest, I was just about to give up and put some ugly manifolds on the inside heads. Trying to line up the tubing to engines that aren't securely attached to the coupler, which is not attached to the frame was no fun. I bet it took 3 hours to make this header, but in the end, I think I came out victorious. this is the one that goes in between both engines, A couple of shots of it in place. Yes, it dumps to the front. Edited October 6, 2011 by Psychographic
Psychographic
Next was to come up with some air cleaners. If you look close, you can see one of the oil filters I made. Then some custom oil pans, to clear the frame.
Nitrozilla
Glad everything worked out. Sounded like Dejavu all over again. Got an idea if you like for the air cleaners. Permanent coffee filter. No, don't install miniature coffee filters on them. Use the metal screen to wrap around the center of the air filter. This is way 2 cool Dave. n8dogginz
Thats just awesome...i bet the ride smells terribad if the exhaust dumps that far forward, but if its a track monster its all good!

Psychographic
The frame will get one more "once over" with the bondo and it's time for paint. A dip molding was added to the roof, the dash is close to being done, probably another "once over" for it too. I got a lot of pieces primered and painted . Psychographic
An interior shot with the shifter on the tree and pedals mocked up.
Psychographic
We have some color finally. The color is a pearl yellow, but reflects a lime gold hue. It's very hard to photograph. Testing to see if everything fits. The frame. I played with the color balance of this pic, it's closer but still miles off.
