I know some guys wear a thin, white glove when getting in to the finishing stages of a model. This keeps the finish free of oil and residue from glue, etc. I have seen these in catalogs. What are some suggestions and what can be found locally?

I do have cotton gloves, but my wife is an RN so I have a box of latex exam gloves that work as well.

Latex gloves are killer!

No really, they will kill me if I try and wear them!

I use food handling type gloves when I paint and the white cotton gloves for handling painted bodies! Also wash my hands really good and often with dawn dish soap to take the excess oils off!

Too much Dawn will damage your skin.......it will dry out, crack and peel. Old machinists trick....powdered pumice and cold water...Use gloves for handling and painting

As a funeral director, I have access to pall bearer gloves. We buy them by the case and, at funeral services, give them away like hotcakes.

If you call a local funeral home and tell them what you want them for, they just may give you a couple of pairs.

Actually, my gloves are vinyl, not latex. I know many people react to latex. Medical gloves are available in both.

I've tried a couple different sources, but I can't find any cotton gloves that fit (need XL size). They all seem to be for people with small hands. Is there somewhere that has different sizes?

I get them from the dollar store ,forget what they are called but they are for ladies who put moisturizing cream on their hands before bedtime.
