moparmagiclives Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I was in seattle for some factory training and stopped into a little Game/hobbie shop down town. I didnt reallyl care for the prices, but I came across the magazines, He has all of them in a three month order at full price then the fouth one in line at a discount. So I was able to pick up the last four issues. Have to say its very informative, and it feels like your holding something in your hand unlike some other model mags who get a little thin now and then. The first one I cracked open was the issue with the Troz, Man is he a hero to me. That was pretty cool on its own. And the "Munster coach" build up was neet also, got me motivated to starts my "Dragula". Keep up the great work!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 A subscription will also probably make it easier too.
moparmagiclives Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 I dont really like to subscride to magazines that much. I feel like I'm giving money up for what ever someone decides to give me. I subscribed to airbrush action once, as soon as I started to get mine in the mail, it just wasnt the same as what I was getting off the news stand. Probly just me but.... And I also dont subscribe for the same reason I dont do netflix. I like to be able to walk into the video/book stores and look around, actualy talk to people. Again, probly just me...
Gregg Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Thanks, Shane! I agree with you on some mags, I like to pick them up at B&N and look through others that spike my interests.
weasel Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 that's why you come to a good Mag and trust them to tickle your funny bone, usually on time!! lol
Jeff Johnston Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I've never read a MCM that I didn't enjoy. Its a no risk subscription IMHO.
David G. Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I'm a subscriber and Ive never been dissappointed with an MCM issue. My LHS is a little hit-n-miss on what they have and when. David G.
martinfan5 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Maybe its me, but I dont recall seeing MCM being sold at the LHS here, next time I go I will give the magazine section a check and see. I have been thinking about getting MCM on subscription base. There is one magazine that I want to subscribe to but its like close to $130 for the U.S.
moparmagiclives Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 I'm sure I would be more then happy with this magazine. It seems to be made for modelers by modelers and I like that. And I will probly get me a sub after the hollidays now that I know what to expect just because it is so hard to get around here. Kinda funny though, I found this site at first just looking for model info, it was quite a wile before I ever knew there was a magazine to go with it....
bbowser Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 It's a good mag, info on resin and diecasts as well as styrene. My wife left my subscription lapse Looks like I'm going to miss 162 until I get reinstated. Sorry Greg!
