geetee66 Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I built this mainly box-stock, with only a few PE parts. I liked the colour of the car on the box art, so I sprayed it roughly the same colour The roll cage was a bit naughty. It took a fair bit of messing about to get it to behave. An enjoyable build, though.
Scalper Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 looks sweet. I am working on the same kit. Nice paint looks great.
Dr. Cranky Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 O my, that's beautiful. What color is that? Is that Testor's Bright Green?
MachinistMark Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 looks like testors one coat emerald green metallic
geetee66 Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Thanks guys The paint is straight out of a rattle can. It's Halford's own brand (auto parts/spares retailer in the UK) The shade is Rover Tara Green. I used a polishing kit and Maguires resin polish to get it gleaming...
SteelyEd Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Good job, Love the color. Is that decals of the hood fasteners? If so they look great. Again Good Job!

Wayne Buck Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I believe this may be the finest example of this kit I've ever seen built! BEAUTIFUL job! The color and decals look Awesome on this car, as well as the extra details you've added... Not too over the top, but definitely not lacking either! Looks PERFECT!! Dr. Cranky Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Mr. Turner, would you mind posting a few more pictures of this beauty? I'd love to see more body pictures . . . it's a wonderful model indeed. Thanks in advance.

Dr. Cranky Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Guy, very nice, thank you. You covered all the bases and far exceeded box stock, but all the details fit perfectly. Again, a wonderful build, and I thank you for the extra rounds of eye candy.
PARTSMARTY Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 wonderful build-super paint job-super color-clean build-"ABSOLUTELY PERFECT"-congratulations-let's see some more of your builds.
brad4321 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Good job. I put about 6 hours into this kit yesterday. The roll cage is really tough to build. Many stars have to align. I cannot decide what color to paint the body. Any suggestions?
Dave42 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 A beautiful eye searing Green! Love it. This turned out far better looking than the box art for sure. As clean as a pin and just visually stunning paint job!
geetee66 Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 Good job. I put about 6 hours into this kit yesterday. The roll cage is really tough to build. Many stars have to align. I cannot decide what color to paint the body. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone. Yeah, that roll cage is a bit of a nightmare. I had to build it up progressively. As for colour...I think it's gotta be something bold. A hot orange/red maybe
JustBill Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Guy, did you tint those windows or does it come like that in the kit? If you tinted them what did you use? Very clean build man! Looks beautiful!
