mannyclub Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Nice Camaro! Love Pro Streets. I like the color goes with the car, sweet engine Manny
CEKPETHO BCE Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Wow. I would love a 1:1 just like that. What kind of kit is that and where is that chassis from? I'm loving this
Bernard Kron Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Nicely done with slick lines and stance. I especially like the satin paint, it really suits the color and overall look of the car.
W-409 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Well this is cool! This is looking very good. I like that matt black color, it fits nicely to this style, and those stripes are great too. Engine detailing is great, those plug wires run as in 1:1 car, and headers are very realistic. I like that shifter too, and wheel & tire combo is perfect. Thanks for sharing, this is really nice build.
James2 Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) Thank you kindly guys. This is a AMT B.W. Camaro body on a modified Firebird Match Racer Chassis also from Revell. Most of the cage is scratch built along with the manifold. The rest of the engine and drive train is kit stuff. Just adding detail here and there for a better look. The paint is Tamiya Matt Black with Clear Red stripes. The chassis is Gun Metal. These are kit wheels but I used Sprint car rear tires sanded slightly. BMF and water color black wash finish it off. Dominik Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 WoW! What a Pro Street! From front to back a perfect build. Wow.
thumper86 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 VERY VERY VERY VERY nice build !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danno Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Nice. Kinda neat to see a pro-anything with a subdued, understated paint finish ... for a change. Good job.
Darbo Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Now thats a car i would love to have! awesome build.
James2 Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Thank you for the kind words. I have just a little detail to do yet. Seems I always nearly finish a build, then put it up for a week or so, then look it over and finish it up. It helps me notice things I missed earlier. J2
