FordRodnKustom Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Here's my latest build, I finished it up about a month ago. I enjoy restoring these built vintage models. I started out with this 1958 AMT Edsel After quite a bit of work and a few parts from the current hard top kit I ended up with the old glue bomb looking like this. Thanks for taking a look at it.
ChevyCoupe41 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 That is one very beautiful Edsel! I like that mild custom look and body color combinations. Nice Job!
BOSWELL891 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Wow nice job, the two tone colors look great together
ChrisR Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Hard to believe it is the same model. Great model!
Erik Smith Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Great job. I have recently acquired some glue bombs from the early days and will be restoring them. I hope my efforts look half as good as yours. Those kids back in the 60s liked a couple things: lots of glue and randomly applied custom parts. And lots of glue.
crazyjim Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 SHINY :) RULES! I think I would have thrown the glue bomb in the garbage. Fantastic save.
Sixx Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Oh man, that just jumped out and smacked me right in the face!!!!!!! That's a great save man!!!!
David G. Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Excellent work! Do you have and progress pics to post? David G.
kruleworld Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 holy smokes, that's a hell of a transformation
trogdor Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Probably one of the best saves I've seen Great job !

charlie8575 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Such a nicely-done very mild custom....de-trim and a really cool grille. Great job, Bob. Charlie Larkin
peter31a Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Wow! What a save! It makes for a beautiful mild custom. Job well done sir.
Sixties Sam Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Great save! That's a lot of good work to make the glue bomb look that good! Very nice model! Sam
Draggon Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I sorta "lost it" when it was posted at another place, but it deserves more "props" because it is such a fantastic transformation! Everything is so right, the craftsmanship is outstanding, and that grille just makes it!
jerseyjunker1 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 she sure is not a glue bomb anymore Baby thats one of the finest looking restorations i have seen in a long long time.i love it
groo12 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I didn'treadthefirst post fully and saw the model and wondered, how are we going to break this to him, but then I was simply go smacked by the transformation. You should be very proud.
