Foxer Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 (edited) Car Town is a simple free facebook game that some here might get a kick out of. It's supported by advertising but it's not right in your face. There are quite a few different cars and they can be modified extensively with a paint program. They are cartoony to suit the game but you will recognize them easily. There's no penalty for trying it but you do need a facebook account. this is the link to play. Edited March 12, 2012 by Foxer

SuperStockAndy Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I used to play it a bunch but it got annoying when they kept changing it so much. Not to mention all the freakin requests I get...around 5 a day. Blocked 'em
niteowl7710 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) Whoa whoa whoa, you can't bring up the "F-Book" word around the parts, let alone an app for it. People here are technologically backwards old fuddy-duddies that if given their way would probably prefer the threads here to be done via pen-pal written correspondence. *censored* book represents a social media outlet that actually forces people to...ya know...be sociable with one another, which a vocal minority of people who inhabit this board would rather have anything but(these are also the same members who refuse to shop online, but that's another issue for another day). The terrifying prospects of developing closer interpersonal relationships with people they only know casually, along with reconnecting with pasts they'd rather forget gets everyone all a tizzy. Like every great thread here where a bunch of people wail and gnash their teeth about the topic at hand, none of them actually possess a ****book account, they just heard from a guy, who knows a lady, who read an article, about a news report, where some guy's brother's uncle's dog was stalked by an old girlfriend. Now I find out that apparently Zuckerburg who only has about 10 bajillion dollars, and I imagine swims in a vault full of money like Scrooge McDuck is out to repossess the personal information of people with inadequate virus software... Foxer Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 First, the only way to make money on the net is through advertising. So, what don't you people trashing Facebook not understand? Second .. WHY are you putting personal info in your facebook account? I can't believe all these people putting their real names in there. Just make an account with an alias and use a gmail.com email account. Here's some eye candy for ya all to see a bit of the neat vehicles in there .. A School Bus I created a skin in Photoshop for ..
Foxer Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 No problem giving a heads up on security but if you really want to be secure, leave your computer off. I do know a little .. I wrote my first computer program in 1964 for some "little" IBM we had in our engineering department in college. I've been involved ever since but never was in the industry. Everyone SHOULD be aware of things that can happen so I do appreciate your comment.
Rob Hall Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) By the way, Zuckerberg is spelled with a 'c' and 'e'. And by the way 'Bob', if that is really your name, IBM made computers way before the '80s. Edited April 2, 2012 by Rob Hall

Well put......it's not like the internet is something new...I've been online since the late '80s w/ CompuServe back then, internet newsgroups, etc.. I could understand if this was 1996 when the internet was new to the mainstream, (remember the days of AOL and dialup?) but this is 2012.. Edited April 2, 2012 by Rob Hall
CorvairJim Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 ... it's not like the internet is something new It sure isn't! I specifically remember hearing the speech in which Al Gore told us how he invented the Internet back in 1969!
