Grumpa
Great looking engine bay! Very nice detail here and on the interior!
Foxer
This is gorgeous! The details you added look just right. What really gets me is how clean all the black in your photos looks! .. that in itself is not east to do . The filnal build should be clean enough to eat off of . . Skydime
That engine bay could almost pass for a real or model subject. I like the seats too. It looks that you could just sit down in the driver's seat and rip and tear gears.
blunc
I have a suggestion if it's not too late. The grooves that you did so well on the pulleys should be painted silver due to how the fan belts tend to rub the paint off the metal. The rest of the details are great! sak
Thanks for the kind words. But I am not sure what secrets you are talking about. I have learned everything I know from everyone here.
Greg Pugh
What paint did you use on your seats? How did you fab up that hood latch assy? What buttons/pins did you use for the dash knobs?
Ira
VERY REALISTIC!!! Nice Interior...Looks like the Real Thing...
sak
Gpugh1976. ok. The hood latch thing ..I will explain later. Its real simple. I will build one.The black I use is duplicolor semi-gloss enamel. Through my airbrush. One very light coat and them one heavier coat. I only tried that because it came in a huge can. But I am happy with it.The pins..not sure what type they are...I saw them at a place that does mending of clothing. The lady just gave me a bunch. So try there. sak
Called straight pins. http://www.americanpin.com/pins.html
Jantrix
If I recall correctly, there is an issue of the engine being too tall to fully close the hood with this kit. Did you run into this problem? Great work so far.
sak
Yes it is. I sliced off some of the motor mounts to lower it, but still wont close with the air cleaner on.
Skydime
Rob, I don't know about the enigine. But, I hope his hood is nothing like the one had in my Resto Rods version. On the passenger side, the front just suddenly drops way down. I mean so far down that it would look warped if fixed with warm water.
