peter31a Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Wow! Kenny! That is one mean lookin' little Willys! Love the colour combo and engine detailing. Job well done sir!
Dr. Cranky Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Beautiful job on the paint, the colors, the details, it's a STANDOUT model. Congrats.
Harry P. Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 You made the same mistake that 99% of people who build a '41 Willys make. That raised lip around the windshield represents the black rubber gasket around the glass. It is not supposed to be clear.
espo Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Like the paint. The blue is realy interesting for something I've been thinking about. Could you share what you used ?
hotrod59f100 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) I like it . Love the colors and the wheels to.Good thing you pointed that out Harry ,I'm going to redo a glue bomb of one of these soon and I'd prolly would have left it clear as well. Edited April 28, 2012 by hotrod59f100

Bartster Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I love these cars. You have a beautiful model here. IMHO these cars look SO much better in street clothes!
jbwelda Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 i would carefully line the trim black using a fine sharpie or a pilot pen. looks great either way!
1fine89 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Nice willys You made the same mistake that 99% of people who build a '41 Willys make. He did say it was only 99% done Great tip on the windshield, I've seen that on other models and never painted it. Now I know
Floridian Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Thanks for the comments. I couldn't of built this without this site and all the other great models. This is the best model forum!
Floridian Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 What should I use to polish the clear out? Wax?
crazyjim Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 You need some real fine grit sandpaper. I think the kits start at around 3000 grit and get progressively finer to 12000 grit. Then take some Novus #2 and rub it out. Some people use Meguiers Scratch X instead of Novus. When it's all SHINY :) , finish it off with a nice coat of The Treatment Model Car Wax.
