rmvw guy Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 (edited) I built this on the road between Indiana and Florida in the back seat of our van while the girls drove last week. Easy kit, I know although a little challenging on a bumpy road, it was fun. The paint started out shinny but as soon as it got near the salt water guess what happened. Edited July 3, 2012 by rmvw guy
Harry P. Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Wow! That looks great! Could almost pass for real. But how in the world do you build a model in a moving car? And even better... why???
Dr. Cranky Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Wow! That looks great! Could almost pass for real. But how in the world do you build a model in a moving car? And even better... why??? It's the STYRENE ADDICTION, Harry. LOL! Ron, not only do I think the model is wonderful, but the pictures are really fabulous.
kobuzz Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 But how in the world do you build a model in a moving car? And even better... why??? Way better than playing the licence plate game!! Awesome pics as well!!
rmvw guy Posted May 13, 2012 Author Posted May 13, 2012 Thanks guys, my plan was to build it while on vaction but, it got the best of me on the way there. You're right Doc, it's styrene addiction. LOL
Austin T Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 So how do you airbrush in the back seat? Curiosity's killing me.
Aaronw Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Nice T. It is a fun kit, and I'm finding kind of addictive, so many things you can do with a Model T.
rmvw guy Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 So how do you airbrush in the back seat? Curiosity's killing me. .....Actually, I painted it with a rattle can the night before we left and it dried in the box. The weathering was done on the road. I'm now working on the chopped T and it is working out a lot better on solid ground here at home. LOL
outlaw035 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 nice weathering on that road build kit...was wondering ..did the paint fumes bother the driver...lol....
jerseyjunker1 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) wow i like it. i think it looks better with the salt water finish. YOU MAY BE THE ONLY PERSON IAROUND THAT BUILT A MODEL IN 1000 MILES.LOL Edited May 29, 2012 by jerseyjunker1

bbowser Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 You must be a masochist! I'm jealous, couldn't do that well on a solid bench. Great model and pictures.
TooOld Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Really nice looking T . I love the look you achieved under the circumstances ! Your photos are really cool too !
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Really great photos. Hard to beat reality for realism. Good looking T too.
deathskull59 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 salt water is pretty nasty on metal and paint aint it.

Danno Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Nice. Some people will do anything to get a little extra attention!
Wagoneer81 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Ron, I've said it to you before.... You, Sir, are NUTS!!! Very nice Model T! I finished this same kit as a pickup, it's in the case at the hobby shop. You need to display this one beside it for comparison...
