Modlbldr Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Welcome to the site, Dean. For a first model you did a fantastic job! Stick around and take it all in and you can only go up from here. Soon you'll learn things like BMF and wiring the engine and more. Congratulations. Now I'm on my way out to my hobby room to work on an engine and suspension for my 53 Ford Vicky. Later-
62rebel Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 i wish MY first had come out as well. nicely done! sits level, shiney paint, no goofs: job well done!
rmvw guy Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Congatulations on a successful build. Welcome and hope to see more of your models here.
MyBradKeselowski Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Great looking build to be your first completed model. I like the color...
VW Dave Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 It's been over 30 years since I last saw my first build, but I know it wasn't anywhere as nice as this one. Way to go!
Danno Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Good start!! You can never go wrong with a clean 69 Camaro!
modelcarguy129 Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 Thank you guys for all the great comments.
cartpix Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Great paint, clean build, you can't ask for more than that. I can't believe that's a first build. My first build was an unpainted, glue bomb. Of course I was 8. I suggest (and you don't have to listen), get a couple more builds, under your belt, then raise the bar. Try new techniques. They may not turn out, at first, but keep plugging away. You've off to a great start. Jeff
JasonFL Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Welcome to the site. That's a great first build, love the motor and color choice.
CEKPETHO BCE Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 That's a VERY nice first build. How many models went into this Camaro? Rims appear to be from a Revell Charger and the engine possibly from Revell Corvette C3. Good job, I likey
CEKPETHO BCE Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 My first model was also a 69 Camaro a few years ago. Too bad it's no longer with us. I accidentally stepped on it... Next time I will not be putting models on the floor in the room that I sometimes walk through with lights off....
Dirty Gringo Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Very nice job way to go cant wait to see more from you thanks for sharing
modelcarguy129 Posted May 26, 2012 Author Posted May 26, 2012 Yep rims from the charger and motor from the c3 you know your stuff.
