Craig Irwin Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Brats and burgers on the grill. (is there some king of race or something going on too?)
brad4321 Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 It's a yearly tradition for me to sit on the couch from 7:30am til the 600 is over. Best day in sports... by far. I told my girlfriend I'd be off the grid tomorrow.
sjordan2 Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Don't forget the US Olympic water polo trials. It's going to be a tough day for TiVo.
Craig Irwin Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Doe's the Swedish Bikini team have a meet on TV this weekend?
Junkman Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 It has to be Indy for me! Memorial Day is American, Indy is American. I'm gonna get me a hamburger, and some Budweiser, and watch it.
Craig Irwin Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 I live 30 miles from the track and don't bother to go or even listen.
martinfan5 Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 It is a great weekend for auto racing, I am a open wheel fan, but I always try and watch the 500, going to watch the F1 from Monaco as well, and of course going to be watching the Nationwide and Cup series from Charlotte
W-409 Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 My favorite F1 race of the year! The Only Interesting F1 Race of the year! Seriously, it's sad that we can't see it Live from TV here in Finland. Especially the first few laps would be interesting...

rmvw guy Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 (edited) I live 30 miles from the track and don't bother to go or even listen. You are blacked out like me! I'm still a fan but, will be watching the Charlotte race when the Indy race is shown on delay locally. Edited May 26, 2012 by rmvw guy
Craig Irwin Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 I grew up around the 500, my dads friend was an official and opened some doors for us. I've been to many 500's, and used to listen fatefully for years when I couldn't be there. Somehow it lost the. magic, just ain't the same.
sjordan2 Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Doe's the Swedish Bikini team have a meet on TV this weekend? Just stock up on some Old Milwaukee and YouTube videos.

brad4321 Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 There is an interesting Formula race?????? Yes, all of them! What's more intersting than an F1 race?! It's the only thing I will wake for in the middle of night.

It's not the same, because everything changes, but it's there's definitely magic there still. I'd be there if I could.
Craig Irwin Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I turned down free tickets last week, and I live 30 miles from the track.

58 Impala Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 12 plus hours of racing, that's a great way to spend a day. My wife doesn't agree, thank goodness for DVR's. (won't miss any of it.) A few years back on Memorial Day weekend, racing on TV was even better. I was able to watch F1,Indycar,NASCAR,NHRA and WRC all in the same day. (16 hrs. of racing total).
Deathgoblin Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Just another workday for me tomorrow. It's my wednesday.
Wheels Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 This entire weekend is a race fan's delight!! They are all great races!!!
W-409 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Thanks, Skip for the link! I was bit late, and couldn't watch the race, but looks like there's coming NASCAR too, so I need to tune myself in.
