Lovefordgalaxie Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 When I bought this 1932 Ford from Monogram, I got really disapointed, because it only came with a chevy scrub motor. To solve that problem, I replaced the thing with a FORD 312 engine from a Monogram '56 T-Bird kit. The entire model was painted with acrylic Testors paint, and for a touch of Chevy revange, the car color is testors Chevy engine red. Thanks for looking!!
ChrisR Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Great model. How did you manage to paint the red inside the wheels so neat?
rmvw guy Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 It came out really cool. I love the color and the shiny. I am now ready to trade mine in. The engine swap was a geat idea too, Henry would be proud of you.
dimaxion Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 A Flivver with FoMoCo power is perfect . All the right stuff . Thanx ..
Harry P. Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Very nice! But those two ejector-pin marks on the top of the seat are very noticeable... you really should have fixed that.
TooOld Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 That is very sweet ! ! Your paint is flawless ! Congrats on a super clean build . How long does it take you to build a model like this ?
Lovefordgalaxie Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Thanks for all the feedback!! I built this model in three days, and wanted to test how would a all acrylic paind would look like. Now I'm gonna put some more time and effort on building a factory stock 1932 Ford.
