Here's yet another TR. I really like these cars! This one was built from the Model Factory Hiro kit. It's box stock except for a battery cover made of aluminum sheet. I also used yellow plug wires instead of the kit supplied black. I built it as an "ex racer turned street car". Note the PON2N license plate. These cars were known as "pontoon fender" Ferraris. The shape was meant to funnel air to the front brakes. Paint is Duplicolor Harvard Blue with a few clear coats.

Outstanding! You do very nice work. You must like the TR as well as I like the 250 GTO

Thanks John. GTOs would have to be my SECOND favorite Ferrari! I have one in 1/43rd scale and have built and sold two others.

Chris,

I am currently building 250 GTO s/n 3505 using Fujimi 1/24 scale kit with many upgrades. I have posted pictures of the body with modifications on the workbench section.

I am in the process of purchasing a MFH 250 GTO, Mike Parks car to add to my GTO collection.

John, I searched the workbench section for your GTO and couldn't find it. What's the topic title?

Thats an impressive build of a challenging kit.

Thanks Ron. Actually, this kit went together fairly easy. The fit of the parts was "almost" Tamiya like, unlike the MFH '59 TR I built!

Very nice. Beautiful paint and that engine looks killer!

Thanks Paul. I like to use a little "poetic license" with my paint colors.

Outstanding build! The Testa Rossa looks terrific in that color!

Thanks John! I REALLY didn't want to paint it red!!

Looks good in blue!

LOL! I couldn't help but think the same thing! Tatsuo Yoshida MUST have had the Testa Rossa in mind when he first started to draw the Mach 5!

That is one FINE looking Ferrari! Despite it being painted in an unconventional color, it is quite OUTSTANDING! Did you use the kit engine? Looks sharp! B)
