Harry P. Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Very nice... but the spare wheel is sitting at a very odd angle...
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 The Cragars, wide whites, shaved hood and mesh grill insert all work to make a nice, coherent low-key custom. Looks good.. Is the continental wheel-cover kicked back to clear the opening deckild?
MichaelJ Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 You very right William. The trunk deck physicly?will not clear the spare tire. If it can be done, please tell me or show me how, cuase I have another BIRD to build. Thank's and glad ya guy's like it!!!!
crazyjim Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Nice looking build. What color is that? Some pics loos silver and some lilac. SHINY :) is good.
rmvw guy Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Got to love the Baby Birds! I can almost hear those duel exhausts rumbling! The wireing and plumbing under the hood is fantastic. I'm not a big fan of the spare hanging out in back but, after all said, it is "MOMSCAR". Love it! I wish my Mom would of had a car like this.
sjordan2 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Nice work, lots of excellent touches - and plug wires that actually look in scale. What type and gauge of wire did you use?
Danno Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) Nice job. 1:1 conny kit spare hinges rearward to allow trunklid to open, but hinges forward for normal storage ~ resulting in the spare laying forward at a more eye-pleasing angle. (I'm surprised the mods left this modified die cast on the plastic side of the tracks.) Edited June 23, 2012 by Danno
rmvw guy Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) Really nice build. Is this the AMT or Monogram kit? ...I was wondering the same thing or is it diecast as Danno asked? Oh and I still like it no matter what it is. I'm guessing the Monagram kit which is styrene plastic. Edited June 23, 2012 by rmvw guy
Danno Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) The hood and hood hinges look heavy ... like die cast. The headlamps have that heavy-dc-mounting-pin look. But I'm not familiar with the plastic kits, the die cast kits, or the assembled die cast offerings, so I can't definitively say. Edited June 23, 2012 by Danno
MichaelJ Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 Sorry guy's, no such die cast in my world of building. I have seen what CAN be done with um,and my hat come's off to those who can do such work!!! This my friend 's is an older MONOGRAM 1/24 kit. It is all DUPLICOLOR spray paint. This is a NISSAN silver met. The plug wire's are by SCALE DREAMS,and measure .020 in thickness. I hope that the wire size and color helps u guy's! Any critz. is good for me . It help's me out in the long run. Please ask or tell me any thing......... Thanx!
