Toni L. Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 (edited) Yes, it is a Hemi engine in the Mini . This came to me as scrap. Parts were missing and the paint was what he had. Then i had to try put that Hemi in there, and after a little thinking it was already in the engine room. Then the end of the car was constructed around the machine. starting point. Ready. What can I say, it is a Mini Edited June 25, 2012 by Toni L.
91blaze Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Sweet! I've always wanted to do something like this.
philo426 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Wow!That would dangerous in skilled hands let alone normal drivers!
Trucker_tim Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I just picked up a Mini maybe I will have to give this a try
Zarana-X Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Nicely done! There's some guy around here that's done this IRL with a vintage clubman ( I think he used a Ford or Chevy big block, though). I'd think you'd need some ballast in the back of that thing to keep it planted, especially when braking.
Webb Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Now THAT is wild!! What does the sign on the back say?
MichaelJ Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 That's touched,and you too. THAT .IS ALL KIND'S OF AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Del Austin Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Very nicely done. Have been toying around with doing a mini-gasser for some time now.
W-409 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 What does the sign on the back say? There's something wrong with the sign on the back. Don't know what the owner of this Mini thinks, he can drive a Mini, but not Chevy . http://public.fotki.com/-Toni-/tamiya-mini/064-jpg.html This looks very good too, and it looks even better in person.
Ira Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 LOVE The MINI!!! Great Paint, Tight Fit, Nice Details & It LOOKS GREAT!
Toni L. Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) Thanks to all. I think that this is more of a "what if" model. Brain f##t is a serious matter, if you enjoy building models . Edited June 26, 2012 by Toni L.
Badluck 13 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Cute lil' beast!!,can I say that in the same sentence????
kruleworld Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 nice work, now go build a real one (one advantage models have over real cars... we can do ANYTHING!)
