I enjoyed building the 409 engine, the silver valve covers contrast with the Chevy orange block. It's a neat looking motor with the dual quads and "425" hp decals on the valve covers. Other than some engine detailing it's an out of the box build. Thanks for looking.

Very nice, great attention to detail, very accurate in every way. Except... why the missing rear-view mirror?

With a 409 , Harry , what ends up behind you no longer counts ! Lol!

Really like these old Chevy W-Blocks! :D You did very good job with this BelAir, engine detailing is super and I like the color too.

Harry, Harry, Harry... I'm surprised at you! Rear-view mirrors didn't become standard equipment by law until January 1, 1966. Unless it was a higher-line car, it was generally still optional equipment in 1962. I'm almost certain it was an option on this Bel Air, and I KNOW it was an option on the Biscayne.

(Other things we take for granted that needed laws to make them standard equipment: Seat belts - Front outboard positions, January 1, 1965, all seats January 1, 1966. Back-up lights: January 1, 1966)

Really fine 409 Jon ! Beautiful paint and very fine detailing ! I especially like the engine detail and the inner panel of the hood .
