bryan_m Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) heres another oldie from my bench. 66 chevy wagon. i added a bamboo rack to the roof to carry the boards, and in the back it has a cooler, and some beachtowels..ect,ect this one now resides in the collection of our very own Dr.Cranky. when i was building it he liked it so much i packed it up and sent it off to sunny florida to be closer to the beach! LOL the rack is real bamboo, and i weathered it lightly. just some crust on the engine, and light rust on the bumpers........with a small primer spot here and there..... thanks for lookin cheers bryan Edited July 10, 2012 by bryan_m

TooOld Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I love wagons and yours is super ! I like the daily driver look better than being all rusted to death . Did you spray Dull - Cote over the paint , and how did you make the front bumper look slightly rusted ? I want to try something like this soon .
Darbo Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Fantastic build, looks like something you would spot down by the beach!
sjordan2 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Great work. Just right in so many ways. No one else will have anything like that on their shelf - which to me is the best joy in modeling.
David G. Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Excellent work, it has a nice solid feel to it. David G.
Johan020 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Thats a great looking chevy the weathering is outstanding it even has a little dirt onder the tires !!!!

Dr. Cranky Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yes, this one is still looking as cool as the day it arrived.
DanielG Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Man o man, I used to own one of those, even the same colour, you only forgot the rusted-out quarter-panels (and the engine looks too clean)! Good job.
Miserable Soul Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 It's builds like this that make me want to never do another "shiny" paint job and just weather the you know what outta everything... Absolutetly love it !!!!!!! 2 thumbs waaay up
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Another pretty much perfect build in my opinion. Just enough, not too much, and a real eye-catcher. Really makes me wish Atlanta had an ocean nearby.
