I'm working on a 54 sedan delivery. Well this whole model has been one step forward and six backwards. Have you ever had a model that fought you tooth and nail and what was it?

....almost tossed it off my balcony 20 minutes ago.......

I tossed one out the window earlier today - hit the mailman. Fortunately, it caused him to trip and fall on the dog chasing him, so he's not mad, but I think the dog's owner might sue.

Yes. Skinnie Minnie. I would measure and test fit and test fit some more and then I'd build/paint and then IT WOULD NOT FIT! I finally gave up on it. I have vowed to revisit the project again, but I will be starting entirely from scratch.

They usually turn out to be the best ones I built in the end!

The replica of my daughter's GMC van has been exactly that! I just got back on it after a year break and it started right off again .. replace TWO hinges, re-apply 10 decals on the back doors, re-paint the wheels ... Well, maybe that's not too bad considering how this whole build has gone, :)

These hinges were a saga all by themselves

Working on two projects right now.

A 57 Ford Wagon lowrider and a 59 El Camino kustom.

I guess the Chevy vs. Ford thing is going on.

The El Camino said..Oh no YOU did'nt !

The paint bubbled on me..grrrr

Yep-a pre painted AMT '57 Chrysler 300.Found out the chassis was warped, then the front steering knuckle pins broke.I tried polishing the paint and burned through some edges. Finally the cat peed on it and I called it quits. His expressed his opinion of it more succinctly that I EVER could!

Trying to remember if I ever had a model that DID want to go together. Or some paint that wanted to get onto the model.

Models and paint don't mind being bought and taken home, even opened, but that's it! Any attempt to further disturb them puts them in a very bad mood.

It all started with this REVELL55chevy-vi.jpg$(KGrHqVHJBME-eIgC0YOBPu6nTj-B!~~60_1.JPG?set_id=8800005007revell_57lowrider.jpg1_6f500e58ab74bda0eb9fe0c69a64eafb.jpg1_7a2d239362f04e0cfa540b3c2d55c595.jpgAll kin to your panel. Too many open orifices. Too fiddley. But Hey, they were the only game in town back in the day.

This fought me the whole way. Snapkits are supposed to be fun, and easy. Well, it was neither. The fit on everything was awful, and i had to do a whole lot of grinding on plastic to get it presentable. I did enjoy making the surfboard rack though.

Back in the day, almost any Revell kit that had opening anything.

I actually built the 56 F-100 and had a ball doing it. the doors were kinda wonky, but I think at age 8 or 10, I was not very discriminating!
