volksrods Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) Hi Folks, This one was sitting on my bench for a long time, finally have it finished. The color is Glasurit L456 ruby red ( original vw color ). 2 coats of standox automotive paint was shot, wet sanded and polished. Box stock except for resin fuchs wheels and US bumpers. I hope you like it. MehmetCan Edited October 24, 2012 by volksrods

Ace-Garageguy Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Every VW build I've seen of yours is BEAUTIFUL, and this one is too. Really, really fine. Man, I like it.
Bartster Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Very nice build. Looks perfect to me. ls this kit similar to Revell's T-1 Samba, & if so, was it hard to lower? Bart.
Badluck 13 Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Not a surprise that you turned out another beautiful "Air Sucker",you truly know your Dubbies....

volksrods Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Thank you very for kind comments guys. They are all appreciated. Very nice build. Looks perfect to me. ls this kit similar to Revell's T-1 Samba, & if so, was it hard to lower? Bart. Thanks Bart. I haven't built Revell's Samba yet so I don't have a chance to compare. It is not hard lower Hasegawa's Buses. Just cut the front beam into three pieces, narrow it down, place it somewhere higher than its original position, use low profile tires, ant it's done Where did you get the resin Fuch's? I took some molds of Fuchs' and BRM's sometime ago and casted some sets.
slusher Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Awsume looking van, excellent paint finish...Great color also...
Greg Pugh Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Dang! I need a couple of sets. I thought you'd maybe found a supplier or something.
