crazyjim Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I finished this several months ago but couldn't post pics because it was a community build with FAST. I'm very happy that it took 2nd place in light commercial at the IPMS nationals in Orlando.
crazyjim Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 Thanks, guys. I was having a hard time with the door hinges and finally decided to go suicide style instead.
Jantrix Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Hey Jim that is really very cool. That is a very troublesome kit and you really made something neat from it. I especially like the bed treatment.
crazyjim Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 Thanks, Rob. The other FAST members versions are on our website - http://fast.cybrarygoddess.com/
outlaw035 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 u did an awesome job on ur 40....really like what u did with the hood....
crazyjim Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Thanks, Neal. It was a fun build for FAST.
lotno249 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Love it, love it. The interior is fantastic. DJ
Harry P. Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Cool. I don't know if I buy the "hood within a hood" idea but the bed treatment is pretty cool.
Sixties Sam Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Ditto what Harry said. Great model! The tunneled headlights are cool, and the color looks great! Sam
rmvw guy Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Unique design, I love the imagination, Nice work Jim! I guess you can take a peek at the engine without opening the big heavy hood every time. I love the interior design and the seats.
Bartster Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Wow, Jim ! All the right custom touches & then some ! Love the "almost" flatbed & the peekaboo hood ! Did the seats come from the '39 Wagon Rod ? Pretty cool shop truck ! Bart
crazyjim Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Thanks, fellas. Yes the seats are casted from the Wagon Rod.
JasonFL Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I like what you did there with the hood and bed, makes a nice hauler. Not to mention that real cool touch of the dice shifter. Clean lookin build Jim.
TooOld Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I agree with everyone here , very nice build . Too many things to comment on so congrats on the win !
