MadKaw6 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 This a car that was driven by R W Glenn in the 70s at Auburndale and Lakeland here in Florida. The body is from an original AMT kit. It had been built as a drag car at onetime and couldn't be restored stock so no worries that any vintage plastic was harmed. I hand painted the lettering. The chassis and suspension are mostly scrachbuilt. The engine is a 250 six cylinder with a crossflow head. It is scratchbuilt with the exception of the block and valve cover.
roadhawg Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Very nice! It captures this type of car perfectly. Good work on the motor too. I like the little details, like the red overspray on the support bars....exactly the way it would've been done. As a short track fan, I love it!!
Miatatom Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Nice build! I like the lettering. Makes it look period correct.
