Antikainen Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 An Aoshima kit with some minor modifications as Finnish licence plates, Mr Modeller side mirrors, Pegasus Wheels and Modelhaus tyres. Lowered stance and new exhaust tip. Body color: Tamiya racing white, polished and waxed. Interior color: Tamiya champagne gold and flat clear. So this is my latest finished model. On to the next one..
David G. Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 That's a cool car! And very well done too! David G.
topher5150 Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Nicely done...1997 is that the year of the kit, or the car?
Chromecop Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 This Century body style was built (with only minor changes) between 1967 and 1996/1997. In 1997 a totally new Century body was released.
Antikainen Posted November 14, 2012 Author Posted November 14, 2012 This bodystyle of Century was produced from 1967 to 1997 by Toyota with minor updates. a Aoshima seldom tells years of their kitted cars. 1997 is my guess, based on large headlights and modern interior parts.
Antikainen Posted November 14, 2012 Author Posted November 14, 2012 Chromecop was faster than me to tell the facts
Scuderia Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 hehehe, either way it looks great. Can't remember ever seeing one of these
moparfarmer Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Very nice job, looks clean,clean,clean.....Didn't know Toyota made good looking cars. Guess they did back then, but they sure make boring stuff now. Your model makes that marque look like class...WELL DONE
Erik Smith Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Okay, I have been looking at that kit for a while...and, I love the style you built it in, so, now I don't need to build one:) That is really cool. I like this build a lot.
carro Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 That's one nice clean build. Never seen one before.
John Goschke Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Cool build of an unusual and interesting subject.
krazyglu Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Very well done and you kind of surprised me with the wire wheels and white walls, its really classy and goes well with the color's you have used. Thanks for sharing
kilrathy10 Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Very nice work...And a very interesting subject...Love it...
charlie8575 Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Different and nicely-done different, too. Charlie Larkin
CEKPETHO BCE Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I love these Centurys. Good job on the kit.
Antikainen Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Thank you all for your kind words. Those wire wheels and white walls were indeed ment to be a surprising and traditional element on this model.
