slusher Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Here is the article... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/16/american-chopper-canceled_n_2146268.html?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmaing8%7Cdl2%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D235686
camarofreak82_427 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I used to watch that every week as a i was growing up n loved it but its time. It was pretty boring. Maybe they wilk bring somthing better out in its place
moparmagiclives Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Those type of shows should have stuck to narrated scripts to begin with.
Lunajammer Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 It had a good run, made its mark and made a couple shop guys millionaires, but I think it kind of "jumped the shark" when it started following Mikey's departure and journey of self discovery. Not that that's what killed the show, only that that's around the time when viewers with already waning interest couldn't muster any more care. It had been on life support since.
Guest G Holding Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Mirrors life....The "Chopper Fad" has run its course. Only real bikers ride chops now...Hardtails rock
James2 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 That took about nine and a half more years than I hoped!
Ben Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to who ever decided to cancel it even though it was about 9-1/2 years too late! Those drama shows make me sick!
martinfan5 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Well its about darn time that show is canceled, is was less about bikes and more about the drama anyways
Agent G Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 It got to the point where all I watched was the paint being applied. I really enjoyed Nubs graphics, and watching him work. Everything else, well...................... meh. G
Kris Morgan Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 The show has been "over" for a long time now. Now the film crew will just stop showing up.
JM485 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 A while back I saw some of the first episodes and they were awesome! More about the bikes and less about the drama! With the old cameras it looks like it was shot through a cell phone or something. Sad to see the show go, but it just isn't the same as it was before.
southpier Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 i wonder if rachel will have her own spin off?
Johnag4004 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 It's high time they ditched those over-rated prima donna's...
Guest Johnny Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Liked the first couple seasons but it went down hill rapidly after that. Now if all the networks would start killing these not really "reality" shows.
SuperStockAndy Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 well It was getting pretty boring. I agree...I liked it before Junior left OCC...I enjoyed it more then. Or the time that Mikey got the truck stuck in the pond
DavidChampagne Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I agree with Wayne..if not for Nub's painting, I would have quit watching long ago. And Jr's bikes with all the crazy exhausts? No way. As far as Mikey, well, no comment. They need to bring back Biker Build Off. That was cool. Anybody know if Billy Lane is still in jail?
crazyjim Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Goodbye finally. They're all a bunch of chumps.
lanesteele240 Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 i wonder if rachel will have her own spin off? one could only hope. i think JR had her customized too
Craig Irwin Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Almost a decade too late, how many un-rideable "Tribute to cheap beer" bikes can a crew of soap opera rejects build anyway. I would watch a comedy special to see them try to ride some of those "bikes" cross country without a chase truck thoe.
Gluhead Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I had no idea it was still on, so I'm double surprised.
Jantrix Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Ever since it became more about the drama than the work, I lost interest. No loss in my book.
