Webb Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) This is a project that's been going on for almost a year now. I've been waiting for a "proper" Rochester fuel injection setup from a vendor and it still hasn't shown up. I'm now thinking of using a single four barrel carb instead. The kit is from Modelhaus and it's a decent curbside kit for $70.00 delivered. I added the mirrors and fuel cap from R & D Unique and the wheels and tires are from one of the Revell '32 Ford kits. The gages that were molded into the dashboard were sanded and filled and replaced with Detail Master gage faces and trim rings. The toggle swiches are by Hobby Design. Paint is Duplicolor light blue metallic. Engine is pieced together from the spare parts box. Chris Edited December 12, 2012 by Webb
Draggon Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Fantastic work! One of my favorite cars. Nice to see you doing justice to it! I have the Cox version of that, I really should contact Norm and get the missing pieces.
Webb Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 I finally got the Rochester setup and it was very well worth the 6 month wait! It's a resin piece from Historic Racing Miniatures. It's much more accurate than anything I've ever seen in a kit. Chris
Crazy Ed Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Chris that 4bbl looked fine, but that F.I. puts the Candle on the Cupcake! Well done.
jeffs396 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Very nicely done Chris! Love these little BEASTS from the past!
Daddyfink Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Coming along nicely! This car needs to be kitted!
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Just beautiful. The detail on your new FI is outstanding. I'm needing one of these for sure. And thanks for the heads-up on that particular FI. I'm doing a Talbot Lago with an injected smallblock, and what you've got there is perfect. Beautiful work.

Interesting, any pics? I highly recommend the HRM F.I. unit. Just be prepared for a long wait. Chris
