I got a HUGE suprise in the mail today! this came from fellow friend, modeler and outlaw at large TxRat and was a huge source of irritation to a certain drag racing forum administrator. nothing like a suprise gift in the form of a Johan Sox & Martin Superbird! Thanks a ton Shane! i really appreciate it!

free Sox & Martin cars rock my dome too! :lol:B):D:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Dave

Thats what its all about Dave. People lose sight of what this hobby is all about FRIENDSHIP. These models don't mean a thing to me. Ive made a new friend and fellow Outlaw. Some Drag race forum administrators take this stuff way too serious....

YOU ARE VERY WELCOME DAVE!!!!!!

Well, not today, but maybe a week ago or soo..... I got this old custom '32 sedan. I have an unbuilt, but had a hard time passing this up, since the price was right.

IMG_3953.jpg

About the same time I got this one, also for a good price!

IMG_3954.jpg

And this one as well! Just a little over 16 bucks, plus shipping, 31 bucks something total, that's a good deal for us over here.

IMG_3956.jpg

I seem to fancy this kit for some reason. I found another one some time ago, also on the 'bay, and also for a fair price. That one has the text in the blue spot that says: "Molded in Petty Blue"

Anyway, among the new Nova, '32 Sedan, and '49 Mercury from Revell, I also got this one, but it's only an empty box. But I have an extra unbuilt original '69 Elky that I can unload the parts from, into this one....

IMG_3983.jpg

Would anyone happen to have the derby car and other stuff related to this kit?? I know I have to cruise the 'bay, but you never know what your fellow modelers have in their stash....

Today my very wonderful girlfriend gave me the best gift ever. A very large nice new desk to build on. tomorrow she is going to take me to the lhs to get some building supplies. I am the luckiest guy alive!!

Turns out he din't have what I wanted with him, BUT he was sending a batch of resin kits to Steve Kohler, over at Star Models, I got ahold of Steve, told him what Ray said, and lo an behold, I ordered TWO 1970 Buick GSX's in 25th scale!!! They just got here, and they're BEAUTIFUL! And in MY scale! I took my own advice an got 2 for just in case he doesn't get anymore later! Man, I had been wantin one of these things for a LOOOONG time! I'm so happy I could FART! But I won't cause I don't wanna be rude! But I AM a HAPPY Lil Camper!!! If your lookin for some off the wall models, and you don't mind resin kits, give Steve a call, he just may be able to help you.

Oh, and Dan, I picked up that same Bus at MCCC Toy Show too. 110.00 bucks, what'd yours hit you for? I wanted to open it up an grok it, but I told my Wife to wrap it up, so my Granddaughter could give it to me for Christmas. At least I know I'm gettin ONE model for Christmas.

Early Xmas gift; Missing Link resin 71 Hornet SC/360. Very cool and obscure car, nice conversion kit. Needs a few parts from the SC/Ramber such as drivetrain, suspension, exhaust. Glass will have to be cut from sheet stock. Very good quality kit, the resin is very much like styrene.

Very Cool Kit you have gotten there Bob..

I happen upon a Collectors store that had a bunch of models

(mostly 80s- current)

but had a few Johans.

Some were more than others and I only had a few $$ to spare.

That was tough.

PC150009.jpg

and this took half my funds.

Now to find more funds and go back.

Sweet..that Hornet SC/360 and '68 Plymouth are great. I have the '65-67 Plymouth hts and convertibles, but only the '68 4drs in my collection.

I'll have to get the Hornet eventually, I definitely want to get ML's '71 Galaxie 4dr and '68 Mustang GT coupe.

I got a bunch of goodies in the mail and via UPS today--had a bunch of boxes on the patio this afternoon---got another Revell '69 Nova and '68 Charger, the Revell Shelby GT-H, GT500, and GT500KR. Also got a resin '69 Cuda 440 Six Pak hood and '71 Plymouth Scamp from Bandit Resins--very nice!

Here's a good Finders Tip that works for me.

It is a Hit & miss kind've thing but the finds will be worth it.

If you have a Craigslist.

I search Collectibles and Games+Toys

I get lucky using these keywords

Models

Model

Car

Cars

And you can even search using the model manufacturing names

AMT

Mpc

Etc...

Good hunting..

That Hornet is AWESOME..

Heres My haul this week

worked a deal with Charlie over a Pro-Tech and will NEVER need Braided line again (maybe). Also Davezinn and I have become fast friends and when I sent him the sox car after the childish fiasco over at the quartermilers site I got a very nice pile of goodies from him that will be divided between myself and other partner in crime MATT LeBlanc he sent a set of shocks , perry resins gasser wheels, SOHC motor some really BAD ASS flip top gas caps that will set nicely on the saddleback car and some shorty velocity stacks, not pictured is a Mustang I was needing for a future build, a MK Henry J. as well as really nice Satellite funny car body(For Matt). Dave is a great guy and went well above .Great week!!!
